If you're worried about cost, complications, or cleanup, fear not. Hosting a party
doesn’t mean you must relinquish yourself to garbage detail all night -- the event
can be enjoyable for you too!
- Minimize cleanup by using paper party plates and paper napkins. Disposable flatware is also helpful. To figure out how many napkins to buy, multiply the number of guests by three.
- Drinkware can also be disposable. Multicolored cocktail drinkware made from sturdy plastic is a good alternative to glass.
- Use dark tablecloths to hide drips and spills.
- Be sure trash bins are accessible to all your guests. This is the easiest way to end up with a room not littered with napkins and paper plates.
- Clean your house before the day of the event. This will keep your time open to prepare for the festivities on the day of the party.
- Make sure to move your new gifts, breakables, and other valuables out of the way to avoid any accidental bumps or spills.
