Rated 5 out of 5 by Deni from This appliance saved my life I'm a cancer survivor (3 different kinds), on top of my hair falling out so did most of my teeth, for a while there it was very difficult to eat anything, there was one oral survery after another, so I went out and bought myself the Oster Blender/Food Processor and started making foods like I did for my children when they were babies. Both my kids were fed home made baby food. Without this appliance I probably would have eaten nothing but jello and soup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Banjoman from Sad farewell, joyful reunion Well, I have had and heavily used the 12-speed Oster blender for years--same look, classy brushed nickel. Well, today, I over burdened my favorite kitchen utensil making a rather thick pesto--had the pitcher practically full...the started smelling something other than the aromatic delight of basil, garlic and olive oil being blended--yes, it was the motor smoking from being bogged down. When my old buddy burned out and gave up the ghost, I was totally bummed to bid a sad farewell. I mean, I use this all the time, my go to appliance. On a whim, I Googled Oster, and lo and behold, they still make the exact blender, same retro look, same Oster dependability, and I can even interchange the old accessories if necessary down the road. Not to mention there just happened to be a 30% discount and so I got it at an amazing price. You can't beat Oster--sheik metal base, glass pitcher, blender blades you could shave with (watch your fingers when cleaning), oh and did I mention 30% discount! So, while I bid a sad farewell to my old friend, I await a joyous reunion with it's exact twin! (I just ordered the replacement) I'm much relieved and only hope the new one is up to the same Oster standards as the old one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by JonR from Food Processor not covered under warranty The food processor operates on a gear made of plastic and will break. The one year warranty does not cover accessories. They consider the food processor an accessory. So in other words, your basically just getting a blender. No sense adding meals to your diet that you cant make anymore once the food processor breaks. You may even end up with half blended humus that you throw out when it breaks like I did.

Rated 3 out of 5 by sweet16 from works great but does not last I bought it over a year ago, but have not been using much except in the last few months (approx. 5 times/month) . It blends and purees great, blade is strong and glass jar adequate, but 6 cups seem very little when making smoothie for my family of 5. Now the problem - plastic bottom cap cracked and broke despite light and careful use, rendering it useless. I called customer service and they were responsive and will be sending replacement part, hopefully soon.

Rated 1 out of 5 by No nickname from Product not as shown This blender is supposed to be brushed nickel, as the description specifies. It is actually a shiny polished metal. It does not match my existing appliances. I sent it back and am still waiting for a refund. I lost money on this purchase because I had to pay shipping twice.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Emily from Quality going downhill Ive been buying Oster blenders for 30 years because of the attachments. This Blend & go cup is awful. it leaks when the blender blade it attached and it is inverted onto the base. Oster used to offer a well made glass to-go attachment. MUCH better quality. This is a disappointment, for one who really uses the to-go cup daily.

Rated 1 out of 5 by hydrant from Very disappointed I received my Oster blender today and am very disappointed. The included instructions were not only inadequate but contradictory. In a pamphlet it said to add water last and on an insert stated that water should be added last. The instructions on how to make a smoothie were actually no help at all. I will continue experimenting with it for a few days before I send it back.
