3 Perfect Pastel Milkshakes for Easter

This Easter, trade in the chocolate bunnies, marshmallow chicks and creme-filled eggs for fun, festive pastel milkshakes that you can make at home. Use the Oster® Blender Milkshake Blade to create milkshakes that are as frothy, fluffy and delicious as what you'd get at an ice cream shop.

Here are a few of the best, colorful milkshakes that you should make this Easter.

1. Ultimate Classic Strawberry Milkshake
When you think of milkshakes, chances are a pink strawberry shake comes to mind. It's a delicious classic flavor that everyone loves. But rather than just combining skim milk and strawberry ice cream, go all out to make the perfect shake. Here's what you'll need:

  • 1 1/2 cup strawberry ice cream
  • 1/2 cup fresh cut strawberries
  • 1/4 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 cup whole milk.

The first step is to attach your milkshake blade to your blender. It's a quick and easy switch that will make your milkshakes come out significantly better. Add your ingredients to your blender jar and blend on MEDIUM. Watch as the milkshake blade swirls your ingredients while adding air until you have a smooth, frothy, light pink milkshake that's ready to be enjoyed. Serve in sundae glasses with fun straws and maybe a jelly bean or two on top.

2. Minty Green Milkshake
Mint milkshakes aren't just for St. Patrick's Day. Make this pastel green shake for Easter with :

  • 1 1/2 cups mint chip ice cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 4 drops green food coloring
  • 1 splash chocolate sauce
  • Whipped cream.

Add the ice cream, chocolate sauce, milk, extract and food coloring to your blender. Turn it on HIGH for about 25 seconds. Pour into sundae glasses and top with whipped cream. This milkshake is a great Easter treat that's about the same color as plastic Easter basket grass.

3. Yellow Banana Blast
Pastel yellow is a common Easter clothing color, so may not match it with a tasty milkshake? Gather these ingredients:

  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream
  • 1 1/2 bananas, fresh or frozen
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 3 drops yellow food coloring.

Combine all of your ingredients in your blender jar and blend for about 30 seconds on HIGH. Serve your yellow banana milkshake with a banana garnish poking out of the top.

For other pastels, try smoothie-milkshake hybrids. For orange, use orange sherbet and make a fruity frozen treat. For blue, use blueberries, frozen yogurt and plenty of food dye.
