3 Valentine's Day Desserts You Can Make With Your Versa® Performance Blender

This Valentine's Day make your own dessert to share with the person you love. With the help of your Oster® Versa® Performance Blender, you can create a variety of sweet treats that you can't get anywhere else. 

1. Pink Strawberry-Lemon Pie 
Prepare for your Valentine's Day dinner by starting with dessert. This recipe with give you a sweet and tart pie that's perfect for splitting. Start by gathering everything you'll need:

  • Butter
  • Sugar
  • Eggs
  • Flour
  • Red food coloring
  • 1 large lemon
  • Milk
  • Strawberries
  • A pie shell

Get your blender ready and preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Cut your lemon into four or eight pieces, while removing bruises on the peel, seeds, the stem and the navel. Then place the lemon in your blender jar with 4 eggs, 1/2 cup of butter, 1/2 cup milk, 2 cups sugar and 1/2 cup cut strawberries.

Mix on HIGH until smooth. Add flour as needed to thicken, and food dye to make pink. After you're done blending, pour your mix into a pie shell. Now add another 1/2 cup cut strawberries - this time unblended - to the mix. Add more for a sweeter taste. Place in the oven for 30 minutes or until set.

2. Blender Brownies and Fruit 
You can use performance blender in the place of a traditional hand mixer for a variety of recipes, but for Valentine's Day there may be no better way than to make brownies. What you'll need: 

  • Butter
  • Chocolate chips
  • Eggs
  • Cocoa powder
  • Granulated sugar
  • Flour
  • Vanilla extract
  • Coconut milk
  • Sea salt 
  • Honey
  • Bananas
  • Raspberries

Add one ingredient at a time to your blender jar, mixing briefly after each. Add 3/4 cups warmed butter, 1 cup chocolate chips (your choice: milk, dark or semi-sweet), 3 eggs, 1/2 cup cocoa powder, 1 1/2 cup sugar and 1/4 cup coconut milk into your performance blender. Blend until thoroughly combined then add just under 1 cup of flour, 1 teaspoon of vanilla and a pinch of salt. Cover and blend again. Pour your finished mix into a greased pan and bake at 350 degrees until done. 

Serve your brownies hot with sliced bananas and raspberries covering the treat. Drizzle honey on top of of the whole dish and enjoy this sweet dessert with your Valentine.

3. Cherry Chia Pudding 
If you're looking for a tasty, pink V-Day treat that isn't loaded with sugar and butter, you may want to try a cherry pudding made with chia seeds. Your ingredients:

  • Cut, pitted cherries
  • Honey
  • Almond milk
  • Chia seeds
  • Greek yogurt
  • Vanilla extract
  • Salt

Combine 1/2 cup of cherries, 1/2 cup of chia seeds, 1/2 cup yogurt, 2 cups almond milk and a teaspoon of vanilla extract into your performance blender then blend on a medium speed. Add honey as need to get a the sweetness you desire and a pinch of salt before serving. Garnish with a cherry before enjoying this fruity pudding. 

For an even richer, creamier pudding option, consider using avocado as your base. It will provide you with a rich, hearty flavor with more nutritional benefits than cream, sugar or butter.
