After a fun-filled long weekend of Independence Day celebrations, it's important to get back on track. Use your performance blender to whip up one of these smoothies that are loaded with vitamins and nutrients and can help you get feeling good again.

Strawberry and Kale
Combine these two popular smoothie ingredients for a drink that's simple, delicious and just what you should have after a weekend at the beach or at backyard cookouts. Here's what you need to get started:

Combine all of your ingredients in the professional blender and set it to HIGH. Blend until you're left with a smooth, drinkable concoction. Pour into a glass or one of the included sport bottles, and enjoy.

Kale is wildly popular right now for its high amounts of vitamin A, vitamin C and lack of calories. Strawberries, cherries and bananas are also packed full of vitamins and minerals that can help you recover.

Look for local smoothie strawberries this summer. Look for local strawberries this summer.

Creamy Orange
If you're looking for a cold drink that will make you think of the ice cream truck this July, try this smoothie. However, instead of mounds of sugar, this naturally flavored smoothie actually is full of vitamins and protein to help you bounce back after the long weekend. Use this recipe:

  • 1 cup orange juice (freshly juiced preferable)
  • 1/2 orange, peeled
  • 1 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup pineapple, diced
  • 1/2 cup mango, cut
  • Ice.

Simply combine all of your ingredients into the performance blender and let it do the work. Try freezing your mango, pineapple or oranges after cutting them for an icier consistency when blending. Additionally, look for lowfat yogurt types to maximize protein intake without having too much fat or excessive calories.

Mineral Melon Blast
Dark green vegetables are loaded with nutrients that our bodies need. However, these rich vegetables often have strong flavors that aren't fun to drink. Pair them with a sweet summer fruit like melon. Just combine these ingredients in your blender for an excellent smoothie:

  • 1/2 cup Swiss chard
  • 1/2 cup kale
  • 1/2 cup cucumber
  • 1/2 cup cantaloupe
  • 1/2 cup honey dew melon
  • 1 cup coconut water
  • Ice.

Green Berry Smoothie
Take some of your favorite berries and freeze them overnight to prime them for the perfect smoothie. Combine your frozen berries with some greens and yogurt to add protein, nutrients and texture to your cold treat. Try this recipe:

  • 1 1/2 cups frozen fresh mixed berries
  • 1/2 cup spinach
  • 1/4 cup kale
  • 3/4 cup lowfat plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • Ice.

Just combine your ingredients in the performance blender. Cover the lid and blend on HIGH. You'll be sipping a tasty smoothie in no time.
