Mix Honey and Peanut Butter in Your Blender

The only combination better than peanut butter and jelly is peanut butter and honey. This combination of sweet and creamy can create some of the best-tasting smoothies and shakes.

In addition to being delicious, smoothies made with honey and peanut butter can also help provide you with plenty of energy. The combination of peanut butter's protein and honey's quick carbohydrate sugars makes the following recipes great early morning snacks or late-afternoon pick me ups. Try one of these three peanut butter and honey smoothies. 

1. Classic PB and Banana Smoothie
As quick to make as it is to clean up, this classic mix only requires a few ingredients:

  • 2 bananas
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 cup almond milk 
  • Ice.

Simply combine all of your ingredients in your performance blender, turn on HIGH for about 15 to 30 seconds, then pour into a glass and serve with a spoon or straw. 

2. Hearty and Sweet Smoothie 
If you'd rather get some fiber and hearty nutrients from your smoothies, try using oatmeal and flaxseed.

Mix these ingredients together in your blender: 

  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 1/4 cup flaxseed
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 1/2 cup yogurt 
  • 1/2 milk or almond milk
  • Ice.

Turn it on HIGH and blend until smooth. Consider adding more or less milk as needed to adjust thickness of this drink that's packed with protein and fiber. 

3. Peanut Butter Chocolate Shake 
If your sweet tooth is acting up, you may want to try a Peanut Butter Chocolate Shake. You'll need: 

  • 2 tablespoons chocolate sauce
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 cup milk or almond milk
  • Honey
  • Ice.

Add the milk, banana, peanut butter, chocolate sauce and ice as needed to your blender jar. Blend on HIGH until smooth. Then, drizzle the inside of your glass with honey to sweeten the treat. Pour in your smoothie and enjoy.
