When the summer sun is beating down while you relax on the beach, make sure you have a refreshing drink in your cooler. This season, pack a fruit smoothie to enjoy after you catch a few rays and go for a swim at the beach.

Use your pro personal blender to whip up a single-serving treat that blends in the bottle. You can toss the container in your cooler and bring it with you for maximum convenience. Try one of these refreshing recipes!

Citrus Burst
Citrus fruits are sweet and sour, juicy warm-weather crops that can truly make a tasty smoothie. Mix a few of these together for a unique summer drink that you can enjoy on the beach for a boost of energy and some vitamins and minerals. Here's what you'll need:

  • 1/2 cup fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 peeled orange
  • 1 splash lime or lemon juice
  • 1/2 banana
  • Ice.

Simply add your fruit ingredients to your personal blender jar, close the blade cap, flip it over, place it on the base and blend. Once smooth, remove, add the sport cap and toss your sealed blender bottle into your cooler with an ice pack or two. It'll be ready to enjoy when you need it!

Grapefruits zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzUse ruby red grapefruits for a sweeter taste and better color.

Melon Mayhem
From watermelon to cantaloupe, melons are a summer staple. But whether you grew up eating cold, juicy melon wedges that were bigger than your head or you just started eating this popular food, it makes a great smoothie ingredient. Try this recipe:

  • 3/4 cup watermelon, honeydew melon or cantaloupe
  • 3/4 plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup blueberries, strawberries or raspberries
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Ice.

Make this creamy smoothie in your personal blender. Consider using multiple melon types in the same smoothie by splitting the portion in half or thirds. Additionally, you can freeze your fresh-cut melons before blending for a colder taste and a better texture.

BerriesssssConsider combining berries and melon for a truly fruity smoothie.

Sweet Berry Smoothie
Berries are a popular smoothie ingredient. Take three of your favorite berries - whether it's strawberries, blueberries, blackberries or something more exotic - and freeze them in a plastic bag. Then use these three types as the key ingredients in a smoothie or two. Try this recipe:

  • 1/4 cup each type of berry
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup lime sorbet
  • 1 splash pomegranate juice.

This frosty concoction will be sure to taste great and cool you down on the beach. Just toss your ingredients in the blender and let it do the rest.
