Store-bought salad dressing can be packed with artificial ingredients and lots of sugar and sodium. Greens and vegetables are loaded with good-for-you nutrients, and it's a shame to drench an otherwise healthy salad with a not-so-good-for-you dressing.

Luckily, whipping up your own salad dressings is a cinch with your Oster® Oskar™ 2-in-1 Salad Prep & Food Processor. The blades will slice and dice a variety of ingredients and blend them seamlessly with oils, vinegars, herbs and spices for delicious homemade dressings in just minutes. The Oskar™ Food Processor can slice and shred salad ingredients quickly and easily too using its Continuous Flow attachment, then you can make the dressing in the bowl attachment.

Enjoy fresh and nutritious salads with these light and healthy dressings.

Avocado Lime Dressing
The natural creaminess of avocado combines with zesty lime to create a perfectly balanced dressing that's delicious on any salad.

Ingredients:

  • 1 avocado, peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced.

Directions
Add all ingredients to the bowl of the Oster® Oskar™ 2-in-1 Salad Prep & Food Processor. Lock the lid in place - the food processor will begin automatically - and puree for 3-4 minutes or until completely smooth. You can use this dressing on salads, as a sandwich spread or as a dip.

Poppyseed Dressing
Poppyseed dressing jazzes up any salad, but store-bought varieties can be packed with large amounts of sugar. Try this homemade recipe instead.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup fresh chives.

Directions
Add all ingredients to your food processor bowl, lock the lid in place and puree for 2-3 minutes or until smooth. This dressing pairs well with salads that incorporate sweet ingredients like feta cheese, strawberries and mandarin oranges.

Cranberry Vinaigrette
This light and refreshing dressing adds a splash of fruity flavor to your salad. The pretty pink color dresses up all types of greens, and the cranberries are loaded with antioxidants.

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 3 teaspoons red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3/4 teaspoon honey
  • 1 clove garlic, minced.

Directions
Add all ingredients to your food processor bowl. Lock the lid in place and puree for 3-4 minutes or until smooth. Drizzle the dressing on your salad and enjoy!
