Fall in Love with These 5 Autumn Smoothies

The changing leaves, the cool, crisp air, the cozy togetherness of time spent with friends and family - there's a lot to love about fall! Enjoy the flavors of the season by blending delicious smoothies that will help you keep up with all the wonders of autumn. 

It only takes a minute or two to create great-tasting smoothies that use seasonal ingredients in your blender. Fall in love with these five autumn recipes: 

1. Pumpkin Chai Smoothie 
There's nothing like a steaming mug of warm chai - strolling through a golden forest as the sweet smell of chai wafts through your nose will instantly soothe your soul. Enjoy this smoothie rendition of classic spiced chai flavor, which incorporates pumpkin for an extra seasonal twist. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk 
  • 1 cup brewed chai tea 
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree 
  • 1 cup vanilla yogurt 
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon 
  • Dash nutmeg 

Directions
Blend together all ingredients until smooth. Sip at breakfast for the perfect start to a fall day, or bring it along as fuel for a leaf-peeping adventure. 

2. Vanilla, Pear and Fig Smoothie 
Fall is primetime for figs, which add sweet, rustic and earthy flavor to delicate vanilla and pears in this smoothie recipe. It's perfectly elegant for enjoying on your own or serving at a fall brunch with friends and family. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups vanilla yogurt 
  • 1 cup skim milk 
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 
  • 1/4 cup frozen figs
  • 2 pears, peeled, seeds removed and sliced 
  • 1/2 teaspoon honey 
  • Dried figs for topping 

Directions
Blend together all ingredients until smooth. Top with a dried fig or two before serving.

  • 1 cup plain yogurt 
  • 1/2 cup apple juice 
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk 
  • Brown sugar for topping

Directions
Blend all ingredients together until smooth, then pour into a tall glass and top with a sprinkle of brown sugar.  It's the perfect thing for sipping on a fall hike or while curled up with a good book on a blustery day. 

4. Autumn Glow Smoothie 
Fall is a busy season full of activities, from corn mazes to hay rides. Make sure you keep up with all the fun with this vitamin-packed and energizing orange-hued smoothie, which contains antioxidant-rich and anti-inflammatory tumeric. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 large apple, peeled, seeds removed and sliced 
  • 1/2 cup orange juice 
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened yogurt 
  • 1 banana 
  • 1/2 teaspoon tumeric powder 
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger 
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 
  • Dash of honey 
  • Oats for topping 

Directions
Blend all ingredients together until smooth. Pour into a glass then top with a sprinkle of oats and enjoy your super-powered treat!

5. Caramel Pumpkin Smoothie 
Caramel is a fall staple, adorning everything from apples to ice cream. In this recipe, caramel is paired with naturally sweet pumpkin for a divine autumn treat. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup pureed pumpkin 
  • 1 cup vanilla yogurt 
  • 1 tablespoon caramel sauce 
  • Dash cinnamon 
  • 1/2 cup milk 
  • 1 banana
