5 Flavorful Lettuce Wrap Recipes

Light and refreshing lettuce wraps are a healthy option for lunch, dinner or a midday snack. By swapping bread for crispy lettuce leaves and then filling them with a variety of delicious ingredients, you have a flavorful meal that won't weigh you down. 

Here are five easy and delicious lettuce wrap recipes to make:

1. Chicken Taco Lettuce Wraps
Who said tacos always have to feature tortillas? Switch out the shells for lettuce, pile on delicious south-of-the-border ingredients and presto - you have a tasty meal that still has a satisfying crunch! 


  • 1 large grilled chicken breast 
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 onion 
  • 1 ounce low-fat Monterey jack cheese 
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin 
  • 1/2 teaspoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon minced cilantro
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 4 large romaine lettuce leaves

Cut the chicken into thin slices and place in a bowl. Slice the tomato, onion and cheese using the Oster® Oskar™ 2-in1 Salad Prep & Food Processor into the bowl. Add the cumin, lime  juice and cilantro and combine. Spoon the mixture into each of the four lettuce leaves, then top with sliced avocado and enjoy. 

2. Asian Tuna Lettuce Wraps
These colorful, Asian-inspired lettuce wraps make mealtime a flavor sensation, while a sweet ginger sauce drizzled over the tuna completes the dish. 


  • 3 carrots, tops cut off 
  • 3 stalks celery 
  • 1 can tuna, drained
  • Handful scallions, minced 
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar 
  • 2 teaspoons grated ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon honey
  • Dash of salt 
  • Dash of pepper
  • 4 large romaine lettuce leaves 

Slice the carrots and celery into a bowl using the Oster® Oskar™ 2-in-1 Salad Prep & Food Processor. Add the tuna and mix together. In the Food Processor Attachment of the Oster® Oskar™ 2-in-1 Salad Prep, combine the soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, ginger, honey, salt and pepper. Spoon the tuna mixture evenly into the center of the four lettuce leaves then drizzle with the sauce and enjoy.

3. Hummus and Tabouleh Lettuce Wraps
Enjoy a light and fresh Mediterranean-inspired meal with this delicious recipe that bursts with flavor. For extra protein, top these wraps with grilled chicken. 


  • 3 tablespoons olive oil 
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice 
  • 2-3 sprigs fresh parsley 
  • 1/2 cucumber, peeled 
  • 1 small tomato 
  • 1/4 small red onion 
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt 
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper 
  • 1/2 ca chickpeas, drained 
  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • Dash of paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon minced garlic 
  • 4 large romaine lettuce leaves 

To make the tabouleh, blend 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, parsley, cucumber, tomato, onion, salt and pepper using the Oster® Pro™ 1200 Blender. Set aside and clean blender jar. Then make the hummus by blending together 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, chickpeas, tahini, paprika and garlic. Add 2 spoonfuls of hummus to the center of each lettuce wrap, then top with tabouleh and enjoy.

4. Mango Chicken Salad Lettuce Wraps 
Give mealtime a tropical twist with these Mango Chicken Salad Lettuce Wraps. Sweet, juicy mangos provide the perfect balance to creamy chicken salad for a satisfying lunch or dinner. 


  • 1 grilled chicken breast, thinly sliced 
  • 2 tablespoons low-fat mayonnaise 
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt 
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2-3 sprigs fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice 
  • 1/2 mango, chopped
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped 
  • 4 large romaine lettuce leaves

Create the filling by blending together the chicken, mayonnaise, pepper, salt, onion powder, parsley, onion and lemon juice using the Oster® Pro™ 1200 Blender. Place 2 spoonfuls of the chicken salad mixture in the center of each lettuce leaf. Top with chopped mango pieces, sprinkle with walnuts and enjoy. 

5. Barbecue Pulled Pork Lettuce Wraps
Skip the heavy buns and instead enjoy a delicious barbecue-inspired meal served in light and refreshing lettuce wraps. Crispy coleslaw adds crunch and creaminess to these wraps, while seasoned pulled pork delivers a flavor sensation.


  • 1/4 head cabbage 
  • 3 carrots 
  • 1/2 tablespoon mayo
  • 1/2 cup cooked pork, sliced 
  • 3 tablespoons low-sugar barbecue sauce 
  • Dash of salt 
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder 
  • 4 large romaine lettuce leaves

Slice the cabbage and carrots into a large bowl using the Oster® Oskar™ 2-in-1 Salad Prep & Food Processor. Add the mayo to the bowl and stir to combine. Add the pork, barbecue sauce, salt and onion powder to the Food Processor attachment of the Oster® Oskar™ 2-in-1 Salad Prep & Food Processor and mix until fully combined. Assemble 2 tablespoons of the pulled pork on each lettuce wrap, then top with a handful of coleslaw and enjoy.
