4 Stuffing Recipes You Can Make in a Blender

1. Apple Cranberry Stuffing

Ingredients:

  • 1 yellow onion, quartered
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 2 large apples, peeled, cored and quartered
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary
  • 2 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
  • 3 cups cubed hardy white bread 
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh cranberries 
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced 
  • 1/2 cup chicken stock 
  • 1 teaspoon salt 
  • 1 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • Splash apple cider 

Directions
Place the onion, carrots, celery, apples, rosemary and thyme in the Oster® Heritage Blend™ 1000 Whirlwind™ Blender and blend for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables and herbs are chopped. Then, add the remaining ingredients and blend for about 30 seconds or until just combined. Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes, until top of stuffing is golden brown. This stuffing pairs just as well with chicken and pork as it does with turkey. 

2. Sausage Stuffing 
Spice up your holiday dinner menu with this hearty and rustic stuffing. This hickory-smoked sausage adds extra homestyle flavor to elevate every holiday meal. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound sweet Italian sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 1 yellow onion, quartered
  • 1 tablespoon minced parsley
  • 1 tablespoon minced sage
  • 1 tablespoon minced bay leaves
  • 3 cups cubed white bread
  • 1/2 cup beef stock 
  • 2 teaspoons salt 
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Directions
Cook sausage in a skillet until just heated through, about 5-10 minutes. Then add sausage and the celery, onion and herbs to the Oster® Heritage Blend™ 1000 Whirlwind™ Blender. Blend until ingredients are chopped, about 2-3 minutes. Then add the remaining ingredients and blend until just combined, about 30 seconds. Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes until top of stuffing is golden brown. Try pairing sausage stuffing with pot roast or turkey.

3. Old Fashioned Turkey Stuffing

Ingredients:

  • 1 yellow onion, quartered
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 1 tablespoon ground sage
  • 2 teaspoons ground rosemary
  • 2 teaspoons ground thyme
  • 3 cups cubed white bread 
  • 1/2 cup melted butter 
  • 2 cups chicken stock 
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg 
  • 1 teaspoon salt 
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Directions
Place the onion, celery and herbs in the Oster® Heritage Blend™ 1000 Whirlwind™ Blender and blend until chopped, about 2-3 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and blend for 30 seconds or until just combined. Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes until top of stuffing is golden brown and serve. 

4. Squash and Mushroom Stuffing
A winning comfort food, this warm and rich stuffing is just the thing for chilly days. Whether served with chicken, turkey, ham or beef, this stuffing will impress on your holiday table. 

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups butternut squash chunks
  • 1 yellow onion, quartered
  • 2 cups baby bella mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons sage
  • 2 tablespoons oregano
  • 3 cups sourdough bread 
  • 2 cups chicken stock 
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 teaspoons salt 
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil 
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon 
  • 2 large eggs 

Directions
Place the squash, onion, mushrooms, sage and oregano in the Oster® Heritage Blend™ 1000 Whirlwind™ Blender and blend until chopped, about 2-3 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and blend for 30 seconds or until just combined. Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes until squash is tender and top of stuffing is golden brown, then serve.
