French Dip Panini

- Makes 4 Sandwiches / 15 minutes / 25 minutes
Ingredients
  • 4 French rolls
  • 8 oz sliced roast beef
  • 6 oz Gruyère cheese, sliced

  • Roasted Garlic Mayonnaise:
  • 2 cloves garlic, skins on
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/8 tsp grainy mustard
  • Caramelized Onions:
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 tsp chopped fresh thyme
  • 1/4 tsp each salt and freshly ground pepper
Directions
  • Roasted Garlic Mayonnaise:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Place garlic cloves on baking sheet; roast for 15 minutes or until tender, turning as needed. Let cool completely; remove skins.
  • Transfer garlic to bowl and mash with a fork until smooth. Stir in mayonnaise and mustard until combined.

  • Caramelized Onions:
  • Meanwhile, in large skillet, heat butter over medium heat; cook onion, thyme, salt and pepper for 18 to 20 minutes or until onions are caramelized and tender.

      • Halve rolls; spread 1 tbsp Roasted Garlic Mayonnaise on each bottom half of rolls.
      • Top evenly with roast beef, Caramelized Onions and Gruyère. Cap with tops of rolls.
      • Cook sandwiches in panini press according to manufacturer’s instructions.
      • Serve with remaining Roasted Garlic Mayonnaise as a dipping sauce.

Italian Margherita Panini

- Makes 4 Sandwiches / 10 minutes / 5 minutes
Ingredients
  • 4 square ciabatta buns
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 4 slices tomato
  • 12 fresh basil leaves

  • Italian Seasoning:
  • Pinch each dried basil, oregano, parsley, rosemary and thyme
  • Pinch garlic powder
  • Pinch hot pepper flakes (optional)
Directions
  • Italian Seasoning: Combine basil, oregano, parsley, rosemary, thyme, garlic powder, and hot pepper flakes (if using). Set aside.
  • Slice buns in half; brush bottom halves with half of the oil.
  • Top each with 1 slice of mozzarella and 1 slice of tomato.
  • Sprinkle evenly with Italian Seasoning; top with basil leaves and remaining cheese slices. Cap with remaining bread; brush tops with remaining oil.
  • Cook sandwiches in panini press according to manufacturer’s instructions.

Grilled Gouda Cheese Panini

- Makes 4 Sandwiches / 10 minutes / 25 minutes
Ingredients
  • 8 slices multigrain bread
  • 16 slices Gouda cheese

  • Caramelized Onions and Mushrooms:
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 tsp chopped fresh thyme
  • 1/2 tsp salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 12 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
Directions
  • Caramelized Onions and Mushrooms: In large skillet, heat 1 tbsp of the butter over medium heat; cook onion, and half of the thyme, salt and pepper for 18 to 20 minutes or until onions are caramelized and tender.
  • Meanwhile, in separate skillet, heat 1 tbsp of the butter over medium-high heat; cook mushrooms, and remaining thyme, salt and pepper for 6 to 8 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Spread remaining butter on outer side of each slice of bread. Lay 2 slices of cheese over unbuttered side of each of 4 slices of bread.
  • Divide Caramelized Onions and Mushrooms evenly over cheese; top with remaining cheese. Cap with remaining bread slices, buttered side out.
  • Cook sandwiches in panini press according to manufacturer’s instructions.

Bacon and Egg Panini

- Makes 4 Sandwiches / 10 minutes / 10 minutes
Ingredients
  • 2 tbsp butter, at room temperature
  • 8 slices Italian loaf (each about 1/2-inch thick)
  • 16 slices cooked bacon
  • 4 slices Colby Jack Cheese

  • Scrambled Eggs:
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp finely chopped fresh chives
Directions
  • Scrambled Eggs: In bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt and pepper.
  • In large nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium heat; cook eggs, stirring, for 4 or 5 minutes or until set and soft curds have formed. Fold in chives; set aside.
  • Spread butter on outer side of each slice of bread.
  • Layer bacon, Scrambled Eggs and cheese on unbuttered side of 4 bread slices.
  • Cap with remaining bread slices, buttered side out.
  • Cook sandwiches in panini press according to manufacturer’s instructions.

Apple Pie Panini

- Makes 4 Servings / 10 minutes / 5 minutes
Ingredients
  • 2 tbsp butter, at room temperature
  • 8 slices cinnamon raisin bread
  • 1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 green apple, sliced
  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream

Cinnamon Sugar:
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
Directions
  • Cinnamon Sugar: Stir sugar with cinnamon; set aside.
  • Spread butter on outer side of each slice of bread.
  • Combine mascarpone, honey and lemon zest; spread evenly over unbuttered side of 4 bread slices.
  • Top with apple slices and sprinkle with half of the Cinnamon Sugar.
  • Cap with remaining bread slices, buttered side out.
  • Sprinkle with remaining Cinnamon Sugar.
  • Cook sandwiches in panini press according to manufacturer’s instructions. Serve with vanilla ice cream on the side.


  • Tip: Drizzle caramel sauce over ice cream or use as dip for panini if desired.
