Lid Broke in 8 months, No replacement available
The kettle and matching toaster I purchased are beautiful and they do their job.
My kettle lid broke recently (within the first 8mos). It is attached using only a small screw into plastic - so not the greatest quality. It pulled apart in my hand.
Oster customer service is very slow to respond. They don't have any equivalent replacements available despite this kettle being listed on their website and still available at other retailers.
In my opinion, I'd purchase from another manufacturer entirely. See photo of broken lid.

NOT 700 wattage
Your site states this kettle has 700 wattage but we tested it and registered at 1458 watts. Your product spec is not accurate and misleading. We are looking for low wattage kitchen products for camping.

Great product!!
I have used Oster electric kettles since 2007. They heat up FAST!!!, a lot faster than other brands. I have been very satisfied with their products, this among them.

Lid Broke
My lid also broke - I would be happy to pay for a replacement lid- but can't find one. Seems a shame to throw away an otherwise working kettle.

This kettle is made of stainless steel and therefore, there is no plastic that is in contact with water. The only plastic material on this kettle is the base of the unit and yes, Oster&reg;brand uses BPA free plastic on products with plastic materials. We hope this helps!
