Rated 1 out of 5 by from Charger went out again just after one year wareant I love the ease of the Oster wine opener especially since I suffer from carpal tunnel. I had bought an opener in 2011 and it stopped charging just after the one year warranty. I decided to give it another try last year and I shouldn’t have been surprised by the fact that the same thing happened with the second one. Almost one year to the day the base charges but the opener won’t charge at all. So frustrating!!! I won’t make the same mistake by trusting the Oster product again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Don't know haven't been able to use it I received this as a gift plugged in last night it has been charging for around 15 hours both charging lights Are a steady red are they supposed to change colour when charged

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Well After Battery Swap Overall this is a great appliance. It would get 5 stars from me if the original rechargeable battery lasted longer. At 18 months it began to need lots of charges and didn't have much power. Since it was out of warranty, I opened it up, found out what battery size and type it used, and ordered a known brand to replace the OEM generic one. Once the swap was done, [WARNING: this requires some knowledge of electrical circuitry and soldering technique] my corkscrew worked like a champ again, and is still going strong 3 years later.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from What was Blue is now Red I have had this Oster Silver Electric Wine Opener for less than a year. I loved it. After using it, I would put it back on the charger and the light was blue. Now, it just stays red. No instructions as to what that means. I would really like a replacement as I really like this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great until it Was NOT!!! We have loved this and it was great until it was not. We have had this just over a year or so and then it gradually began not charging completely and totally stopping in the process of removing a cork. Not sure what to do now. As I said we have really enjoyed this. And would like to replace it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Corkscrew STOP Charging. My fairly new (about 2 years old) and maybe used just about six (6) times has stopped charging. I've tried various methods/procedures to troubleshoot the charging base but no luck with that. I have contacted Oster for help and/or a solution but my request was denied based upon the item's warranty. I only wanted to know if the charging base could be repaired, but no help was provided. Needless to say I am very upset with this product, that I decided to throw it in the garbage and never again thrust products from Oster. I've noticed many similar ratings and reports in regards to this particular Corkscrew. I, as a Quality Director for diverse companies for over 50 years, recognize mediocre manufactured products and this for sure is a bad one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Charging Question We got this opener a few months ago, and once mastered, it performed flawlessly right up until yesterday. My wife said, "The wine opener quit, and its charger cord is missing." As it turned out, the charger cord was still in its original twist-tie in a kitchen drawer--it had never been attached to the charger. So the opener had apparently opened wine bottles for months on its initial charge--my wife only drinks a couple of ounces per evening, so a bottle lasts quite a while. Anyway, I got it hooked up and charging, as indicated by the red lights on both charger and appliance. Here's the question: Do the lights on the charger change when the unit is fully charged? It's been on the charger for over 12 hours now, and operates normally, but all lights are still red.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor User Guide This is our 2nd Oster opener. The first one died when one of the bottom metal contacts disappeared & the unit couldn't charge. We had it about 1-2 years before it went down. The 2nd one I've noticed that the top light never goes out (on the stand). Read where that's the norm when it's on the charger...well it would be nice to know that in the User Guide !! Anyway, I've read a lot of negative comments about this product. Hopefully we'll have better luck with this one...

Insert a pointed, narrow-blade knife (or a narrow screwdriver) into the space between the opener&#39;s inner wall and the corkscrew. &amp;nbsp; It helps to have someone hold a flashlight so that you can see into the opening.&#13;&#10;2. Either stick the point into the cork or put the knife blade beside the cork and turn it a bit to hold the cork to the wall.&#13;&#10;3. Note: Pressing the upper part of the opener&#39;s switch makes the corkscrew turn clockwise as you look into the open end. &amp;nbsp;Press it briefly and see if the cork moves toward the opening. &amp;nbsp; If so a number of short pushes of the switch should move the cork to the end of the corkscrew and out of the bottle opener. <div class="bvseo-author">Answered by: Ralph8399</div> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2023-02-20</div> </div> </div> <div class="bvseo-question-answer" data-questionid="3996530"> <h2 class="bvseo-question"> Is it possible to get a replacement up down button for my 4207 wine opener? </h2> <div class="bvseo-question-detail"> </div> <div class="bvseo-author">Asked by: Ken Bossart</div> <div class="bvseo-answer" data-answerid="2967384"> Thank you for contacting Oster&amp;reg;.
