Kindly use a different wall outlet and if it doesn't charge still, we suggest you unplug it, leave it for at least a minute or two and plug it back in. Make sure that you have a working power outlet. How long will opener hold its charge, If left unplugged? Will I have to anticipate using it so that it is operational?

Great question! The opener holds a charge for up to 30 bottles and is easy to recharge, not taking very long for a recharge also. The base is what charges it. Additionally, the red light stays illuminated as long as the Wine Opener is on the charger, and the base is plugged in. There are two lights, and both of them stay on. Great question! As soon as the electric wine opener is in full charge, you may remove it to the charging dock and just charge it when needed.
