what is the locking lever? The plastic lever on the side of the threaded jar bottom wont go back up. Is there some way to put it up so I can attach the jar to the motor base? Do I really need it? Thinking of just cutting it off

We want you to continue enjoying blending with your blender, so allow us to partner with you in getting this resolved. Jars not locking in place are normally cause by incorrectly assembled parts. Below are the steps we need to take to make sure the Jar assembly is correct and ready for blending: 1. Make sure the blender is unplugged and the components are clean. 2.&nbsp;Turn the jar upside down and make sure it&rsquo;s on a solid work surface. 3.&nbsp;Place the blade into the threaded jar bottom, handling it very carefully as blades are sharp. 4.&nbsp;Place the sealing ring over the blade and carefully snap the sealing ring into the locking groove with your fingers or the back of a spoon, making sure that it is flat and not wrinkled. 5.&nbsp;Ensure that the sealing ring is fully and evenly tucked into place, and holding the blade assembly to the jar bottom. 6.&nbsp;Install the blade assembly onto the jar, turning to fully tighten. Your Oster&reg; Pro 1200 Blender has a 3-year limited warranty.
