All parts except for the blender base are dishwasher safe. Place sealing ring in bottom basket of dishwasher.
Use a damp, soft sponge with mild detergent to clean the outside of the blender base.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE! I use my blender at least twice a day. My old (and i do mean old) blender decided to call it quits. I did my homework and arrived at this classic Oster Blender. Now that I am using it, I don't know how I managed without it. It is perfect in every way, AND it crushes ice like a CHAMP! I would not hesitate to buy it, and the price was less than I had anticipated spending. Thank you Oster, you are still making quality products after all these years.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful Experience & Product 1. To use the ice crushing feature you must physically hold the button down for this operational mode. It is the only button on the front panel that requires this. All other buttons remain in position when pushed. 2. During operation the decibel level was 96-97. According to the Hearing Health Foundation this approximates the noice level of a subway platform. Creating a well blended smoothie, for example, took 1-2 minutes. The noise level can be irritating. Ears rang for 20+ minutes. If you use the ice mode you must stand next to the machine exposing ears to uncomfortable and potentially damaging levels. 3. The blender tends to "walk" on smooth surfaces requiring that you stand next to it, again exposing yourself to higher noise levels. 4. The lid during operation tends to move. Should it come off liquids potentially would spin onto room. This is a poorly designed product that was meant to position itself in a low end consumer market. Anyone considering this product should consider the long or short drawbacks of the Classic Series Blender.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Expected Better I bought this around a year and a half ago, and definitely have not blended 10,000 smoothies (which is the only thing I use this for), but the motor decided it wasn't powerful enough to move the blade anymore. Even when it was working properly there was never that much power in it, even for a basic smoothie I had to assist it to get everything blended. It wasn't overly expensive, so wasn't sure why I expected better, but this is a trusted brand, so honestly disappointed overall

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it. I've had my blender for over 15 years. My daughter bought a different brand few years ago, doesn't even begin to keep up with my Oster. I'm upset that I broke my jar that came with it recently, I have not been able to find an Oster product to replace it with. Mine was square. I would love to find an Oster Brand replacement.

Tried multiple outlets throughout my home and still nothing. Quality control must be off at Oster. Disappointing. Wish there was an option for owning the blender for less than an hour.
