Needs servicing after 10 months of occasional use
I am waiting to find out what to do with this blender, after contacting customer support. Some of the touch controls do nothing when pressed, even when the blender is empty. The smoothie control just stops after about 3 of the programmed pulses. Looking for an online copy of the 3 year satisfaction warranty and 10 year all metal drive limited warranty, I really liked this blender, until it had problems and less than one year of occasional use. Is anything made to last? Vintage Oster blenders still work after 30-40 years! That will be my next purchase.

Great value
Upon opening the box and taking out the blender the design was modern looking and even though it was a lower cost blender compared to some offered at Costco I was please at the sturdy feel of the product. The blades worded well breaking up ice and other hard products while preparing meals and drinks. I like the ability to break the blender down to better clean it and put it in the dishwasher compared to how other products work. It is a little noise but not bad at all. You can’t beat it for the money.

Quit working after one use- don't recommend
Bought a little over a week ago. Model # is blstkh-c50 When I first opened the box I discovered the base that screws on the bottom that holds the blades had been cross threaded and took 2 people to remove it . So after dealing with that I used it once and it worked fine. Went to go use it again today and it won't come on (and yes there is power at the outlet). Will be returning to Costco tomorrow for a refund. . Maybe a Kitchenaid will be better

Stepping out of the 80's!!
My previous blender was from the 80's so this was a much needed improvement. I didn't realize what I was settling for with my old blender. I use my blender daily for smoothies and this was like night and day. Fruits and veggies blended so much faster and with barely any "chunks". No stopping to scrape the sides. And the final result was much tastier! Clean up was much quicker and storage was a lot easier

Beautiful and Built to last
We've only used the Oster Blender- Master Series a few times but we love it. Our old blender only had four blades and this one is much more effective with the six blades. It's got a strong motor and shreds ice really nice. It has a sleek look and the buttons are easy to keep clean. We used to have to get a toothpick out to clean out the button crevices if a spill occurred, but now we just wipe it down and we're done.
It does have fewer buttons than our old one but I'm okay with that. Personally, I don't need the ten buttons that my old blender had and I never used all of the settings. The six I have now are just fine.
We've mostly used this for smoothies so far and I'm anxious to try out making soups in it. It has a nice, large and easily pour-able container. I did receive this blender for review purposes but that has not influenced my review. We've been Oster-users for years.

Nice addition to the kitchen!
This blender has a powerful motor, sharp blades, and gets the job done. I use this on most mornings for smoothies and like that I never have to use a spoon to redistribute the mixture. The blender quickly did the work for me and my smoothies were always smooth and the consistency I enjoy. Also, I love how compact it is and the modern look. I don’t mind leaving it on the counter when guests come over. It seems to be rather durable and I’d rather have hefty glass than a flimsy plastic container. Some cons would be the loudness of the motor and how hard it can be for someone with arthritis to take it apart to clean. However, I did use the pulse function on a couple of occasions to clean it and it was rather effective. It’s a nice addition to my kitchen and I will continue to reach for it.

Stopped working
I bought at Costco a number of months ago. Used it 2 or 3 times and was delighted with it. After a few months I tried to use it again. I tried many many times. When I turn it on the on/off light blinks red. However any attempt to use any of the blender selections does nothing.

Really bad blade design
Power is perfect, glass vase is nice, Fitting: really hard to assemble. BUT, the design for the blades is TERRIBLE. It is impossible to make a smooth banana milk shake. The first time, a whole piece of banana remain INTACT at the bottom, where the blades do not reach. From then on, I cut the banana as small as I can. Even after FIVE minutes of blending , I get small pieces of banana in my shake. Never before in my old Oyster I had that problem
