Rated 5 out of 5 by Adria from Easy breeze Oster Easy-to-Use Blender It's a simple blender and only has 8 different speeds It's very easy to use, functionality makes it simple easy fast and fun to create your most enjoyable favorite drinks crushes the ice almost instantly and there are no big chunks left behind. My favorite is iced coffee, but I also enjoy making smoothies and milkshakes yum! They come out perfect every time and I haven't had any problems with liquid coming out of the top while I'm blending. the glass jar is thick made nice and sturdy it’s dishwasher safe and it looks nice too! It's easy to take apart which makes it a breeze to clean and just as easy to put back together.

The blending power is pretty impressive and we have been making vegetable juices quite often recently. The price is also comparatively cheaper when compared with leading competitors in the space. We have been using the blender for smoothies and milkshakes as well. Not to mention, all our kitchen needs during kitchen work is done pretty well with this blender. The blender blades rotate in both the directions and does not cause any spill during use. It is quite easy to clean the blender after use as well whether it is hand wash or putting the glass har in dishwasher after use.

I was drawn to it because it specifically listed how well it crushes ice. It did crush ice well, as long as there is liquid. I did try to crush just ice and it was okay but after a while the small pieces stuck under the blade and eventually it wasn’t crushes any more but it wasn’t bad either. I like to chomp on ice and it’s nice to have smaller pieces. The kids enjoy making açaí bowls and my husband used it for his protein shakes. It gets used almost daily and has held up nicely after a few months. I’m excited to see how it holds up during all the upcoming holiday season!

The buttons are clearly labeled and easy to use. Taking the machine apart for cleaning and putting it back together was simple. I like that all of the pieces can go right into the dishwasher for cleaning. I tried a few of the settings to make smoothies and blended drinks. They turned out perfect! I didn’t have to re-blend like my previous blender. I look forward to trying the other features as well. I would recommend this blender if you don’t need anything fancy and is simple to use.

It is very easy to clean out unlike the plastic ones. The metal blades are very sharp and work very very well. We made milkshakes the first night we got our blender and added nuts and it blended the nuts up so well that even my toddler ate it with no problems. I am highly satisfied with the quality of the blender, it is NOT cheaply made by any means. The variety of methods of blended is super wonderful and very easy to understand. The appliance itself is a little on the noiser side, but its a blended so that is to be expected.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Vanillabean159 from Makes great smoothies and dressings This is a great choice for an entry level blender for the casual cook who wants to make a smoothie or whip up salad dressings. It does what you need it to do at a great price point. Oster gives a great tip for successful blending: add the liquid first, then the solids. Frozen items need to float which means you have enough liquid. If you don’t have sufficient liquid, it will not blend. Do not use any utensil to push down the ingredients because you will probably accidentally touch the blade and then have pieces of whatever utensil you used in your smoothie, I have personal experience with bamboo flavored smoothie from using a chopstick! One cool trick is to use a mason jar like how you would use a Magic Bullet for salad dressings or smoothies to go because it fits perfectly in the thread of the cap. Also, it’s one less dish to clean, you can store the leftover dressing in the same jar. The motor is powerful enough to make your smoothie smooth and blend ice cubes, but I wouldn’t use it to make a nut butter out of almonds or peanuts because you need a food processor or a high powered blender for that job. Easy to clean, can put all the parts in your dishwasher.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NataliaN from A powerful mini-workhorse I was a tad skeptical about using a blender with a glass jar, more so because I am clumsy and can easily drop or ding it. However, the jar is surprisingly quite sturdy. I love the fact that it is a 6 cup and is perfect for a small-medium family for daily use. I use it for smoothies, sauces, pastes, etc, and have had no issues at all. I love the fact that it handles tougher chunks like frozen fruit and vegetables with ease too. I do hand wash it though, and this is just me. I'm sure it will hold up fine in the dishwasher but I like increasing the life of my belnders by doing a quick handwash.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Neffgirl84 from My new smoothie maker I'm enjoying having my Greek yogurt smoothie in the a.m.. this blends up the frozen Greek yogurt, blueberries and raspberries very nicely. Does take a second for the blades to grab the frozen bits of yogurt, you have stir things up a few times before the blender really gets to smoothing everything together. Very nice looking and not as loud as I thought it would be for a blender. And yes it's easy to clean!! I haven't put it in the dishwasher though it says that the glass can go in there. I have been just washing mine by hand. And it takes me just moments from start to finish to get everything taken apart and washed and put to dry. This for sure is my go-to smoothie maker in the morning.
