We bought this blender a few months ago and it is no longer working. We cannot seem to get the glass jar to line up with the base correctly. Unlike other blenders that I have had, this one does not fit like a puzzle into the grooves.&nbsp;

Thank you for reaching out to Oster&reg;. We are sorry to hear that you cannot get the glass jar to line up with the base correctly. To assemble the unit, please follow the steps below: Turn the blender Jar upside down so the small opening is at the top. Place sealing ring over blender jar opening. Place the blade system into the blender jar. Place the threaded bottom cap on the blender jar and turn it clockwise to tighten. Make sure the tab on the jar (near the handle) is in front of the tab on the blender base. The blender jar should now be seated in position. I just bought this blender. There is a burnt smell while using it. Will this burnt smell go away with time, or does that mean there is something wrong with the blender? Should I return it or will the situation resolve itself?

When the blender is new it is common that it will give off a burnt oil smell for the first few uses. This smell is due to residual oils in the motor, leftover from the manufacturing process, and this smell will wear off over time. Your blender has a year limited warranty.
