Rated 3 out of 5 by RockymountainBill from Good motor and blade, but broke after 60 days Bought this 2 months ago and have had good luck with Oster products in the past. This blender is a frequent smoothie maker for me and for the price point, it's performed well. Its primarily plastic and have to make sure everything is snug or the base leaks, but I don't mind taking a little extra care. Unfortunately, the filler cap at the top is not a good fit and actually dropped into my mix this week..and got chopped up a bit, making it useless..the warranty dept was closed so I called to order a new one only to find parts are farmed out to a third party, whose website was no help..So a bit disappointed but will try again next week.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Blendingin from Great starter blender I wanted this for light use, e.g. smoothies and pancake batter. My previous blender shredded. Whereas, that can't happen here as the lower blades are encased in the base. That's a relief. For my purposes, it's fine. I would recommend it for the same purpose. Very likely, someone looking for a multipurpose blender would be happier with a glass blending bowl and greater capacity motor. These blades don't seem to be able to perform the promised big tasks, and I won't be attempting them. I've the little bullet style blender and a bigger food processor. Both are reliable. It looks like replacement parts are available for this also, and that would be worth investigating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Yady from Oster Easy to use Blender Oster blender with 700 watts of power, 6 cup is very easy to use personally I use it for my smoothies because it is easier to handle and I can put ice in it and mix it well, the glass is made of resistant plastic material, in general the blender is very light and I like that because I can move it easily, the quality of the product is very good, it has 5 buttons for use: off, mix, blend, chop and ice crush. Compared to other blenders for the use that I refer to, this one is very good for those who want to acquire it, it has 5 speeds, it comes with information brochures on the instructions for use and tips to use it, the information is in English and Spanish for greater understanding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PatriciaD from Affordable and GLASS! The first thing I love about this Blender is that it is affordable and still has a glass jar that holds up to 6 cups. It's powerful 700 watt motor is very capable of crushing ice which is wonderful when you use the crushed ice with frozen fruit to make a ice cold smoothie. The ice is no challenge for the stainless steel 4 point blades. This blender cuts, chops and grinds with ease! Best is that this blender is so easy to clean as it is dishwasher safe. This blender delivers on the quality that we know Oster brings! I love this blender so much, I'm definitely picking these up for gift giving!

Rated 1 out of 5 by MamaBear03 from Not a stable blender I did not have a positive experience with the Oster Easy-to-Use Blender. The first time I used it, it created a huge mess (see pictures). The bottom of the blending cup completely unscrews from the blades and cup sides. This seal leaked everywhere. While the blender was in use, the cup would wobble a bit because it doesn't lock or fit snuggly into place. The cheat sheet included said the blender can handle six large ice cubes alone (which is not much in my opinion) or you can fill it including liquids. I made my 11 year old a simple protein shake. It was clumpy and liquid all at once. The comment to me was that the texture was bad (and this a an 11 year old's opinion... mine was a little more harsh). This is the first time I've had a blender that doesn't produce a half-decent protein shake. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this product.

The blade has a rubber sealant that is nice and thick. Its easy to clean and store. Price is affordable not ripping off like other brands. Performance is great and very strong. Make sure you tied the bottom part correctly before you turn it on. Otherwise, it will be leaking out at the bottom. I would recommend it for the one looking for a multipurpose blender would be happier with easy to handle blending bowl and greater capacity motor. The blender works wonderful, fantastic, efficient, just great!

We used it this past weekend to make margaritas and pina coladas, and I have used it for a smoothie that was made up of ice and frozen chopped fruits. It made some tasty drinks and the smoothie was smooth and delicious. The blender pitcher is plastic, and the lid to it is plastic and kind of flexible, it doesn't *feel* as heavy duty or nice as some blenders I have tried in the past, but it WORKS and it works well. It's very easy to use, there's nothing complicated about it at all. I like it and would recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TonyN from Delicious smoothies We made delicious smoothies in this blender. It blended all the ingredients smooth. There was no lumps or chunks left behind. It also crushed ice with ease. It’s easy to use, we just followed the instructions on the box of the order to put the ingredients in and that’s it. It’s a nice blender, the only thing for me is the jar is plastic and also somewhat flexible, it moves if I squeeze it. So not sure how long it would last. It seems durable. It made different sounds/noise on different setting but wasn’t overly loud. The box says I can mix cookies in it too but it was covered with the label so I I’ll have to look the recipe up and it also says I can make ice too. I will be trying it all. Overall good so far.
