Care & Maintenance

Combine warm water and 1 – 2 drops of liquid dishwashing detergent in blender jar and run on lowest speed for 10 – 15 seconds. Empty jar of soapy water into sink. Rinse jar thoroughly with clean water.
Use a damp, soft sponge with mild detergent to clean the outside of the blender base.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chevygrl00 from Works Great!! I've been looking to get a new blender and this Oster Easy-to-Use Blender is just what I needed. It's a simple blender and only has four different modes. It's very easy to use, crushes the ice almost instantly and there are no big chunks left behind. I've been using it to make iced coffee, smoothies and milkshakes. They come out perfect every time and I haven't had any issues with liquid coming out of the top, while I'm blending. It's very well made, the glass jar is thick and it looks nice too! It's easy to take apart, to wash and just as easy to put back together. With the weather heating up, I'll definitely be using it a lot more.

It can fit up to 6 cups and can be used for small and medium quantity. This is the first time I have used a blender jar that is made up of glass. Although, I prefer the use of glass jar over the plastic jars, I have to be really careful while using or washing it. Since, its a glass jar, it has to be handled with care. The machine motor is powerful and blends frozen fruits and ice very well. I use it to make smoothies and purees, and it blends them smoothly. Another feature that I like about this blender, is the removable blade feature. That makes cleaning of blade easy. This is an amazing blender!

I like the oster because of the glass jar top, however this particular model is not up to par with my previous oster that I bought this one to replace, which I had for three years. The motor burnt out on both models. I will not replace thisone with another product from this company. I am currely looking into other companies that offer better warrenties and better product line. The extra cost will be totaly worth it for a product that can actually blen fruits vegtable, nuts, seeds, and grains to fine powders for baking. This one could not even handle a simple vegtable smoothie. Very disappointed. would not recommend to my worst enemy.

I have made smoothies using ice and a frozen mix, milkshakes for the kids and batter for frozen dog treats with ease. There are 5 various settings depending on the desired consistency that you need. When I made smoothies there was no issue with chunks of ice; the blender really crushed it up nicely. The blender is dishwasher safe and it cleaned up easily. We are very satisfied with the results and we will continue to use this brand in the future.

It crushed ice masterfully, leaving virtually no chunks behind. Smoothies and milkshakes are perfect. The glass jar is heavy and very durable, will definitely last the long term. Oster has long been an affordable brand of small appliances but I have normally placed them in the category of "cheaper made". This blender is definitely not cheaply made and will definitely be a go to. I definitely recommend.

This unit comes with a very spacious and thick 6 cup pitcher container and like most units this has a removable center in the lid to add ingredients as you blend, mix, chop, ect... The only thing that I'm not happy about is the bar that sticks up in the center of the spinning motor that I set the blending pitcher on. It's kind of a hassle to aline the two to start my work on the unit when I'm in a rush. Other than that, this is a great little machine for the kitchen.

It's not overwhelming with too many buttons and functions, but it's very self explanatory and not complicated at all. It makes great shakes and even has a quick and easy recipe on the side of the box. This blender has 5 speeds, including a chop and ice blend button. The ice blends great too. If you aren't into space ship like appliances then this in the blender for you. Easy, not complicated and does a phenomenal job blending. Also, the glass jar is dishwasher safe which is a huge deal to me! Great blender that I definitely recommend.

Cheap, junky, and WORST of all made with TOXIC CHEMICALS that are HAZARDOUS to one's health. I opened the box and nearly passed out from the STRONG TOXIC FUMES. It REEKS!!! ! Even after a rinse and a few hours left outside to air out the toxic fumes and chemical gasses did not dissipate instead my whole kitchen smelled terrible and caused me a major headache. I now have respiratory and neurological issues from just being near this blender. I am dumping it. But I don't want to even get close to it. I don't recommend this blender to my worst enemies. Shame on Oster. Shame on Oster. I bought an Oster as I have old blenders from Oster that were good quality made with good materials. This is a glass jar but all the rest is cheap TOXIC plastic that ruins one's health just by inhaling and being around it. This is definitely not for food and for making drinks for health and wellness. This is TOXIC. Shame on Oster! You have a good name and keep it up. Stop making cheap, junky, toxic smelling products. I hope you address this issue. If you want to make cheap, junky Chinese toxic blender, don't call it Oster but chinky cheapy toxic headache causing blender. I hope you go back to making good quality products with care that people love and enjoy! Stand up to your name!

You need to line up tabs on Blender Base. Make sure the tab on the jar (near the handle) is in front of the tab on the Blender Base.
