Rated 3 out of 5 by Tanochan from Air pockets galore We love Oster brand but this one not so much. This is a nice blender only drawback is when you blend is that it creates a large air pocket which prevents the product from dropping down to be fully blended. The blade will rotate one direction but after it will switch to the opposite direction which causes the air pocket. From what we figured it's the bottom of the pitcher that could have been designed better. There is a huge difference from top and bottom where the blade is so it doesn't really allow the items to shift towards the blade area since it created an air pocket. We had to keep opening the lid to pop the air pocket. All in all it did an okay job in my personal experience.

It comes with pre-set functions as well as having the capability to manually set it! It is kinda loud, but it's because it's so powerful! You can make smoothies lickety split! Clean up is a breeze, you just unscrew the bottom ring and wash in warm, soapy water. I have used this every single day since I got it! We've made smoothies, chicken salad, milkshakes, salsa! You can choose for it to be thin, medium or thick which is great because my son has real specifics when it comes to textures. This blender does everything I'd hoped and more!

Rated 1 out of 5 by stagellis from Can't remove the blade for cleaning- jammed-fail We used this newly purchased about two times. No matter how hard we try, we can't remove the screw-on base holding the blade to plastic pitcher. It is jammed in place. That means it can't be cleaned, and we can't use the two smoothie cups, which are meant to use the same screw-on blade. The motor works well, but everything else is useless. Why would you design the pitcher with a plastic "skirt" that extends over the screw-on base? It makes it extraordinarily difficult to get a hand inside to unscrew the blade. And the lock mechanism at the base does not work with the shape of that plastic overlay "skirt." They collide. Completely frustrating design, completely unusable product, and completely disappointed customer.

The Oster Texture Select Pro Blender does just that. The multi-speed settings are a breeze to understand, the blades spin a lot faster than I anticipated, then again I’ve only purchased blenders on the cheaper end, and it shows. My favorite feature is the food processor attachment. The first day we made pastelitos, and the second day fish cakes; which the food processor help make both dishes. I would highly recommend this blender to anyone in the market for less counter space and less time wasted when it comes to smoothies, chopped veggies, soups, sauces, and etc.

I make green drinks daily and this gets the job done! It’s powerful, sharp and it seems that the blade reverses direction when it needs to break harder ice pieces. The shortcut buttons for “smoothie, milkshake and foodchop” are amazing and save time trying to find the right setting. You can also choose the thickness of what you are grinding up as well! I use the food processor a lot especially to chop up onions and spices for my tomato sauce!! This is a kitchen staple and everyone should own an Oster! Fantastic value. *I attached photos of some smoothies and dishes I made with the food processor! Enjoy!

Throughout the years my family has used Oster blenders and they have have been great. However, this Oster Pro with texture settings is a complete piece of junk. It wouldn't even turn or blend a protein shake with milk, ice and bananas. It turned into a mess because I had to keep sticking a spoon in the blender to try and get the liquid to move. I ended up pulling out an old Oster to get the job done. Not only that, it's plastic and feels cheap. The old one is glass, more powerful and has the ability to liquify and crush ice. As others have stated this blender creates too many air pockets and doesn't blend well. Very disappointed with this model.

Not only is it really sleek and stylish looking, it is really functional as well. It has 9 pre-programmed settings taking a lot of the confusing guesswork out of your blending. It has 1200 watts of blending power which covers basically any need. The Dual-Direction blade technology reverses the blades to help blend through different types of ingredients with ease. The easy to understand instructions had me up and running in no time like a pro. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a really nice quality blender.

Simply amazed me when I used it for the first time, I've never had a blender that crushes ice like this one does. It has a food mode , smoothie, milkshake, and chop which is awesome. The texture mode features a thin , med, and thick texture mode. I will definitely be entertaining alot more , it's very simple to use and is overall the fastest way to making anything you want.

The Oster Pro Blender with 1200 Watt Performance &amp; Texture Select Settings is capable of blending warm or room-temperature ingredients, but we do not recommend putting hot liquids directly into the blender. Blending hot liquids can create steam pressure inside the jar, which may cause the lid to lift and result in splashing or burns.

If you need to blend warm soups or vegetables, allow them to cool slightly before blending, and be sure to vent the lid slightly while holding it down with a towel.
