Rated 5 out of 5 by kevins29 from Worth every penny! I havent owned a blender in years, and the last one I had bit the dust about 15 years ago. I remember seeing Oster blenders at other ppl’s houses as a kid, and now I see why. The quality straight from the box is impeccable! This is my first time using it, and this time it was to make chickpea salad for lunches this week. This blender ground everything up and got all of it mixed together. However, I wish it came with the little thing you can poke through the top to help things along, if that makes sense. This was my first time using it, and one of many more to come for years!

Rated 3 out of 5 by tyal4 from Not going to replace my ninja… This blender does its job but isn’t exceptional. It is made of titan plastic, looks nice, but still feels cheap. It has different blend settings for smoothies, milkshakes, and salsa. I did enjoy this factor as I could throw all of my ingredients in while it blended my smoothie for me. It has a nice interface but I smelt burning plastic when making my morning smoothie. Clean up was easy, I just threw soap in with water and blended for a few seconds. Then rinsed it out in the sink and scrubbed the edges. Does it do the job? Yes! Will it replace my ninja? No.

Rated 4 out of 5 by butilovelemons from Easy to use This blender is amazing! I love the variety of settings and options. The ability to reverse pulse the blades is such a game changer. I used the salsa setting to make a pesto, and it turned out amazing. It automatically turned off and barely needed the sides scraped. It does a great job with frozen items and made a delicious sorbet on the smoothie setting. My only complaint is that it is tough to scrape the bottom of it. I usually have to completely take it apart in order to get everything out. The disassembled parts do make for easier cleaning, though.

You can also choose manual settings. With programmed settings, it will shut off when complete. I love that it has 2 sets of blades to help mix things up appropriately. Things don't get caked at the bottom. The one thing that has me concerned is the top circular port does not stay shut well while running you must hold your hand on it or it unlocks and my fear is your product flying out. Overall not a bad blender for basic things.

Thank you for sending the Oster Extreme Mix Blender to try. We invited people to our place for a pool party and after finished swimming, some wanted smoothies and others wanted milkshakes. I remembered the Oster Extreme Mix Blender box just came a day before and tried it out. The blender is very strong, 1500 watts, 2 horsepower, and crushed the ice without any problem. When the blender is stuck, with a push of a button, it will reserve the motor for anti-jamming, no more shaking or stirring. The blender program with buttons to make Smoothies, Milkshakes, and Salsas. This blender could make up to 8 cups, great for parties and everyone in our group was happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by korodk from Oster is the brand for me I have been using this blender ever since it came and I'm already in love! This blender has so much power that it can blend or crush just about anything I put in it, which makes my job easier when I want to make milkshakes or other drinks. It's not too noisy either, which is something I appreciate and it's so easy to clean too. Between the many functions it has and how safe it is to use, I couldn't ask for a better blender.

Just unscrew the little base lid and pull it off. If the blades come out stuck to that lid, just pull the blades off of that lid. Unfortunately, you should not pour boiling or very hot liquids straight into the blender pitcher if you want to avoid cracks or pressure issues. The jar on this model is a durable BPA‑free Tritan plastic that&rsquo;s shatter‑resistant, but it isn&rsquo;t designed to handle the rapid thermal shock or steam pressure that boiling liquids can create.

Pouring or blending boiling/hot liquids directly into the jar risks damage (cracking, pressure stress) and isn&rsquo;t recommended. Always cool hot liquids first, and follow the safety steps above
