Care & Maintenance
To clean blender jar, combine warm water and 1 – 2 drops of liquid dishwashing detergent in blender jar and run on lowest speed for 10 – 15 seconds. Empty jar of soapy water into sink. Rinse jar thoroughly with clean water.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad seal First time I went to use the cup to blend pudding the rubber seal broke & made a mess of my counter tops . Trying to contact Oster for a new one isn't easy .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall good blender with additional features I received this blender to test out and was excited as my other blender (different brand) was about 15 years old. Overall, the blender performed well, motor seemed to be strong, and in addition to low/med/high speeds it also has a preprogrammed button for smoothie and salsa options. I recently made smoothies from frozen fruit and separately blended a tomato/onion/pepper sauce. It worked well for both, although I don't know that the smoothie button is intended for frozen fruit (directions were lacking). From what I could tell it cycles through low/high and pauses periodically to allow the ingredients to settle - it reminds me of the pulse function on a food processor without having to hold the button down so I can see that coming in handy for other recipes. For the smoothie though, I didn't think the results were that great doing it that way so I just kept the speed on high and that worked. And no issues on the sauce - blended well. Pros: -strong motor -3 speeds and 2 additional features -heavy glass container -easy to take apart and clean, and dishwasher safe Cons: -didn't come with a lot of directions -lid and base felt lighter weight which in turn makes it feel a little cheap -it came with a plastic to-go cup with a lid that was incredibly hard to open so I have not used it.
