Raspberry Shallot Vinaigrette
Most salad dressings you'll find in supermarkets and restaurants are loaded with fat, sugar and sodium. An unhealthy dressing will make an otherwise healthy salad work against you. Instead, top your greens with this light and easy dressing.

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons raspberry preserves
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup coarsely chopped shallot
  • 1 small garlic clove, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt or to taste.

Place all ingredients in blender and blend on the high setting until creamy. You can also enjoy this dressing as a spread on sandwiches or light sauce on cooked vegetables.

Green Detox Smoothie
If you've been eating a lot of processed foods lately and are feeling sluggish, a detox smoothie packed with vitamins is a great way to get back on the right track. Skip the high-priced smoothies from cafes and juice bars and instead make your own in just minutes with the Oster® Reverse Crush™ 300 Blender.

  • 1/2 cup kale
  • 1/2 cup spinach
  • 1/2 cup blackberries
  • 1/2 banana, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • Drizzle of honey.

Add all ingredients to the blender jar and pulse until completely smooth, about 2 minutes. This is a great smoothie to prepare the night before and then grab on your way out the door in the morning.

Cauliflower Alfredo Sauce
If you thought Alfredo sauce was a diet no-no, think again. The creative addition of cauliflower thickens up the sauce while cutting down on the amount of carbs and calories found in traditional Alfredo sauces.

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 5-6 cups cauliflower florets
  • 1/2 cup skim milk
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese.

In a skillet over medium heat, saute the butter and garlic for 30-60 seconds. Bring 7 cups of water to a boil in a large pan and add the cauliflower, cooking for about 7 minutes. Add the cauliflower and 1 cup of water from the pot, and then add the butter, garlic, milk, olive oil, and salt and pepper. Blend until smooth, about 2 minutes. Next, pour the sauce into a saucepan over medium heat and add the cheese, stirring until it's melted and completely combined. Serve over a plate of pasta and enjoy.

Pineapple Salsa
This sweet and tangy salsa is delicious with tortilla chips or on top of tacos and burritos.

  • 1 can pineapple chunks
  • 1/4 yellow onion, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 tomato, roughly chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
  • Dash of lime juice.

Add all the ingredients to the blender jar. Press the Food Chop button and blend until combined. Pour into a bowl and enjoy.
