Hot-Off-The-Griddle Hors d'Oeuvres

Sun-Dried Tomato Shrimp and Chorizo Skewers
Keep the party fare light and fresh with this delicious hors d'oeuvre, which pairs garlicky grilled shrimp with spicy chorizo and sweet sun-dried tomatoes. It's a flavor sensation on a skewer that guests will love - the bites will be scooped up in no time! And since shrimp cooks in just a few minutes on the Electric Griddle, these fancy skewers only look like they require a lot of time and effort to prepare!


  • 1 clove garlic, pressed 
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil 
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt 
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar 
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, finely chopped 
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 ounces pre-cooked chorizo, sliced into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 cup sun-dried tomatoes, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces

Whisk together the pressed garlic, olive oil, sea salt, pepper, white wine vinegar, lemon juice and thyme in a large bowl. Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat. Cook the shrimp on the Oster® DuraCeramic™ Infusion Series Electric Griddle until done, usually about 5-6 minutes. In the last minute, add the chorizo to warm through. Remove the shrimp and chorizo from heat and then assemble shrimp, chorizo and sun-dried tomato on a skewer and serve.

Honey and Goat Cheese Grilled Figs 
Figs are a standout fruit for their natural sweetness and rustic flavor, and become even more party-ready when complemented by creamy goat cheese and an indulgent drizzle of honey. Sophisticated and chic, this party hors d'oeuvre adds a delicious dose of elegance to any occasion - but only requires three ingredients! Sometimes simplicity is the best way to make a statement. 


  • 1 pound fresh figs, halved 
  • 6 ounces goat cheese
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Cook fig halves on the Oster® DuraCeramic™ Infusion Series Electric Griddle for 2-3 minutes so that they brown slightly. Remove from heat then arrange a spoonful of goat cheese in the center of each halve. Drizzle with honey and serve. 

Italian Grilled Bread 
Anyone who takes a bite of this grilled bread hors d'oeuvre will be instantly transported to the land of warm Mediterranean breezes, beautiful seaside villas and long dinners savored al fresco. 


  • 2 large tomatoes, diced 
  • 1 cup artichoke hearts, sliced into small pieces 
  • 1/2 cup black olives, chopped 
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, finely chopped 
  • 1 tablespoon fresh oregano, finely chopped 
  • 1 clove garlic, minced 
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil 
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar 
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt 
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 10 thick slices of ciabatta bread 
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese 

In a large bowl, toss together the tomato, artichoke, olives, basil, oregano, garlic, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. Grill the ciabatta slices on the Oster® DuraCeramic™ Infusion Series Electric Griddle until lightly browned, about 2 minutes per side. Once toasted, remove from heat and top each slices with 2-3 spoonfuls of the tomato mixture. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and serve. 

Bacon-Wrapped Stuffed Mushrooms
Stuffed mushrooms are already a classic party pleaser, but wrapping them in bacon adds a whole other level of deliciousness. You can effortlessly create this indulgent appetizer on your Oster® DuraCeramic™ Infusion Series Electric Griddle. With their perfect mix of savory flavors and creamy cheese, they'll fly off the trays!


  • 1 pound bacon 
  • 1 pound large mushrooms, with stalks removed and inside of the caps scooped out
  • 8 ounces goat cheese 
  • 2 tablespoons dried rosemary
  • 1 clove garlic, pressed 
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Cook the bacon and the mushrooms at the same time on the Oster® DuraCeramic™ Infusion Series Electric Griddle by placing each on one half of the cooking surface. Once bacon is fully cooked and mushrooms have become tender, remove from heat. In a medium bow, mix together the goat cheese with the rosemary, garlic and pepper. Place a spoonful of the mixture in each mushroom cap, wrap the mushroom with bacon, then secure with a toothpick and serve.
