Hawaiian Burgers with Caramelized Pineapple
Pineapple is one of the best fruits for grilling - the heat releases even more of its fragrant juice and flavor. And with a sprinkle of brown sugar, it becomes even more delicious! Pile it on a Dad-sized burger for a mouth-watering dish that's sure to be a hit this Father's Day. Serve with fries or a grilled veggie.

  • 4 thick-cut pineapple rings
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Hamburger buns
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 4 slices Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 small red onion, sliced
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 1 large avocado, sliced
  • Lettuce leaves

Heat the Oster® DuraCeramic™ Infusion Series 7-Minute Grill. Add the pineapple rings and sprinkle with the brown sugar. Grill rings for 2-3 minutes, or until lightly browned. Remove from heat and set aside. Form the ground beef into 4 patties, using a fork to indent the center of each patty. Sprinkle with the salt and pepper. Grill patties two at a time on the Oster® DuraCeramic™ Infusion Series 7-Minute Grill, grilling for 5-6 minutes or until cooked through. Spread mayonnaise on hamburger buns. Place patties on buns and then top with cheese slices and grilled pineapple rings, followed by the red onion, tomato, avocado and lettuce. Secure top buns and serve.
