Blueberries-and-Cream French Toast
The formula to a perfect brunch is having a tasty collection of both savory and sweet foods. This decadent French toast checks off the sweet category with sugary fanfare, thanks to its blueberry and cream cheese filling that's nestled between warm stacks of toasty bread hot off the griddle.

  • 6-8 slices thick, white bread
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 package cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen blueberries, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • Maple syrup for topping
  • Fresh blueberries for topping
  • Whipped cream for topping

Heat the Oster® Titanium Infused DuraCeramic™ 10" x 18-1/2" Griddle w/ Warming Tray to medium-high. While heating, whisk together the eggs and milk in a large bowl. Dip each slice of bread in the mixture, coating both sides, then add to the griddle. Cook bread until outside is crispy and golden brown. To make the filling, mix the cream cheese, frozen blueberries, honey and vanilla in a medium bowl. Assemble the French toast by topping one slice of bread with the blueberry filling, followed by another slice of bread on top, and continue alternating filling and bread. Drizzle with maple syrup, sprinkle with a sprinkling of fresh blueberries and finish with a swirl of whipped cream. Serve.
