Care & Maintenance

Always turn your unit off, Unplug and let it cool before cleaning. Do not submerge unit in water. To clean exterior wipe with a damp cloth. Use only mild soapy water. Clean the rack, trays and accessories with a small amount of dishwashing liquid and a non-abrasive sponge or cleaning pad. Empty crumb tray frequently to avoid accumulation of crumbs.

Little did I know how awesome this is!!! You REALLY have to own one to understand. When I moved my adult son stayed at the apartment so I left it for him. Bought a different brand for my house. Nope. Had to get the Oster. Gave the other brand to my mom. There is no substitute. Best investment. If you’re on the fence I say get it. You won’t be sorry. You can cook anything in this. Wish I would have had one back in the day when I cooked big meals for holidays as a second oven. Makes a full size oven seem wasteful. Again you have to own one to appreciate it. You won’t bother with your full size oven again.

When it is plugged in the digital display does not show anything, i.e. the time or the status the fryer is in. My mum just moved and has not used the unit, she left the unit plugged in and when she was in the living room the fryer just came on, on it's own, and started beeping and the digital display flashing. She is now scared to use it. I checked the manual and there is nothing that trouble shoots this issue.

The hinge that operates the door broke and now we can’t use it at all and naturally by warranty is up. The other bad thing with this is that you burned your hand every time you opened the door! For some reason the space behind the handle is super hot and you burn your fingers every-time if not careful!!! Won’t buy an Oster again!

This model was just put out on the market for sale in the last several months. On the Oster support web page the manual isn't listed yet. I was so glad to find its 27 page printed booklet inside the box. I must say, this manual is much more than I had expected. It describes the product and its components Very well. It answered any questions I needed to ask and included usage and recipes. With visual figures showing how to arrange the trays depending on what you are cooking. It goes on to state how to use each of the 10 functions along with recommended temperatures and cooking times for different meals. Regarding its operation, the buttons that you press do indeed respond with a tactile click when pressed. I watched the heating elements and listened to the fan speed under different cooking settings and everything was as I had hoped and expected. The wire trays appear well made and strong. They appear to be heavily plated so should last long. The baking pan and other surfaces appear to be stainless steel. I complied with the recommended cleaning preparation for first time use according to the instructions and then I tried it out. It is AOK! I recommend this model 100%.

You can’t find parts online I’ve tried. It did well cooking things but again the part that holds my cooking bowls did not do well. This has created great disappointment because now I am left trying to find parts for it. Or send it back.

It was more of a “try try again” to determine how functions and attachments work. There is no auditory feedback when pushing a button, making it difficult to decipher if a function has actually been selected.

This Oster Extra-Large Digital Air Fry Oven has all the features I needed and some additional that I probably won't ever use. It takes a while to figure out how to use it and what settings work best but the issue I have with it is that the door gets extremely hot. Please don't touch the glass when retrieving items as you can get burned. Seems to be a design flaw.

This one in addition to toast, bake and broil has dehydrator, tender roast, convection and air fry. I would buy another if I could find one. You guys quit production to soon on this one.
