Care & Maintenance

Always turn your unit off, Unplug and let it cool before cleaning. Do not submerge unit in water. To clean exterior wipe with a damp cloth. Use only mild soapy water. Clean the rack, trays and accessories with a small amount of dishwashing liquid and a non-abrasive sponge or cleaning pad. Empty crumb tray frequently to avoid accumulation of crumbs.

I have not used my full size oven (except for the cooktop to boil pasta) since Christmas day of 2015. That is six weeks, and I love to cook. I have made homemade pizza, beef wellington, steaks, burgers, oven fried chicken, and even baked a full size homemade German Chocolate cake in this oven. I did purchase some smaller cookie sheets for this oven since my standard size did not fit. This oven is absolutely the BOMB!!!!! Thank you Oster for making me a very happy girl!!! I am planning on doing a cooking blog on Utube using your product and I hope u will follow me. Happy cooking!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by proudpapa from Best "small" appliance to date! First of all... Oster takes Extra Large to a new level!!! This oven is huge! Large pizzas fit without issues! I was hesitant at first, but I am so glad I decided to keep this easily accessible in the kitchen. We made pizzas, cookies & even baked apple pies for Thanksgiving in it. Sleek stainless steel is easy to clean up, looks great. The oven is very easy to use, set the temp, set the timer an walk away. The entire house doesn't heat up, and the short cooking time keeps the utility bills low. I did get this item as a sample to test. I would strongly recommend this for anyone looking.

Rated 1 out of 5 by dogpaula from Everything wrong already... I bought this oven a week ago. The buttons do not work correctly and every time I try to set the temperature it changes the clock! The temperature setting doesn't work correctly and it never stops preheating so the food is burnt within a few minutes and still frozen inside! There is nothing in the directions about the screen and whether it is supposed to say power and clock all the time. I have always had a small toaster oven I used constantly.......this oven doesn't work right and it does not fit on a regular shelf because it has a huge metal back on it! Very disappointed, I hate this oven!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ammie from Like a real oven! I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoy this oven. I use it severely times a week to quickly cook things instead of heating up my regular oven. It does cook things faster (especially on the convection setting) so you do have to keep an eye on things, but that's ok! I really like the classy sleek look- it fits into my kitchen well and doesn't look like just any ol toaster oven. My only complaint is that it is not insulated very well and the outside does get very hot, but since things do require shorter cooking times this is a manageable "downside". I would recommend this oven to anyone looking for a bit of extra oven space( especially over the holidays!) or anyone who just wants a quick cooking appliance.

The oven did exactly what I wanted it to do and cooked thoroughly in a good amount of time. Second the oven looks great. It shines and matches my kitchen well. It is not too large to take up too much counterspace. Lastly I received compliments on the oven itself from friends and family coming over during the holidays. I think the oven did what it was supposed to do overall. My only complaint is when opening and closing the door if they'll week at times. Potentially stronger hinges might be needed. Although I did not have any problems.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MareR from French Doors: latent defect! I thought the french doors were a good idea since I've witnessed professional bakers using ovens with similar doors. The doors were functional--until they get stuck in the open position. The oven still works but obviously is useless if the doors won't close after only about a couple of years! This oven is priced at the higher end of Oster's price range. My prior Oster toaster oven with conventional doors--at a much lower price point--lasted many years. It should not be up to the customer to discover hidden problems and assume replacement costs. Where was quality assurance? (I attempted to enclose a photo but this space did not allow an attachment. You may email me and I will attach a photo.)

I've had it a month now and I haven't turned on my stove's oven since I bought this. I have used bake, toast, pizza, warm, and defrost functions and they all work exactly as they should. It does cook faster than a traditional oven so I have had to adjust cooking times, but everything I cook comes out perfectly. I've baked pizza, cookies, biscuits, chicken and a cake. Note - for things like rising crust pizza and cakes the bottom rack position is best. I am extremely pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone. Also- it keeps perfect time, I have not had the issue with clock that some previous posters did.

Rated 1 out of 5 by TommyL from I used to like this toaster oven.... until Well this toaster oven used to be great, except that the temperature is inaccurate I use 2 separate oven thermometers inside which both read the same temperature but was not the same temperature as the oven says. That I could live with but my major problem with this oven is recently we were hit by hurricane Ida and lost power. When power was restored everything worked again except this toaster oven.... lights all other appliances large and small, even another brand of toaster oven.... everything except this Oster toaster oven was working again. This is or shall I say was my only Oster product and after this experience I think I'll have to say I'll never again buy another Oster product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mdroush from Love It! Owned 4 Years...Still Works Great! I bought this oven so I wouldn't use so much propane on smaller meals. I have since moved and have an electric stove. I have only used my large oven during large holiday dinners. Other than that, I always use the countertop oven for EVERYTHING. I seen another post that said they had issues with biscuits. I've always cooked my biscuits in this oven without any issues. The "Toast" setting is perfect for either toast or reheating pizza. The racks are easily removable. I do with the timer would go for longer and the broiler setting went to 500 degrees. Other than that, I have no complaints at all. I actually raved about this oven so much to a friend, she also bought one and loves it as well!

THE LAST ONE WAS THE DOUBLE DOOR FRENCH DOOR ONE THAT TOOK 10 MINUTES TO MAKE TOAST. OSTER GAVE INTO CEO CULTURE AND HAS CHEAPENED ALL THE AMERICAN QUALITY TO MAKE A THIN TINNY FIRE HAZZARD OVEN. I SHOULD SUE. RIGHT NOW WALMART IS CALLING ME BACK BECAUSE I BOUGHT THAT FIRE HAZZARD AT WALMART.COM. ALSO YOU BURN YOUR HAND EASILY ON THAT GLASS DESIGN.

It was great for heating things up when I didn't want to use my oven but not so good for baking. My muffins turned out crispy on top; not burnt, but crisp. Also I didn't this the convection feature saved me any time. Would be a good option for an apartment when a large free-standing oven is not an option. I wish Oster included specific directions for cooking with the convection oven or recipes.

I wish it had dials instead of the buttons that don't work. I wanted this so badly but I am so disappointed that has never worked as it was supposed to. Something is wrong with the touch pad design and always has been. Wish I could find another extra large oven with dials. When I do coax it into working, it has great results.

Was used for baking meatloaf, several pieces of chicken at once, cobblers, biscuits, and pizzas. Baked evenly. It was easy to use. It does produce high heat so I learned to either shorten baking time or lower the temp when using recipes. Never had an issue with controls not working until after the 5-year period, which is now (6/13/3025). Now the control buttons still light up but it no longer heats. Hoping to obtain another one just like it. I am very satisfied with its performance for the past 5 years. Currently, it is out of stock everywhere I've checked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DRBF from Can't live without thi oven. Can't! We've had this over for almost three years now. In the last two years, we haven't used our built in oven.....not once. We use the big oven to store snacks. I can cook a 6 pound roast in it with ease and two large pizza's at the same time. The oven tends to run about 25 degrees hotter so some foods need to be watched until you know how it will cook for you. This oven does take up a lot of room, but it's worth losing a little counter space. Hey Oster, when are you going to make an induction burner? I could then move my oven to the stove top with the burner. No need to every replace the built in oven. Good job Oster on making great products.... my mixer is over 30 years old.

I don't think I'll ever use the big oven again, except for storage. I've made dog cookies, people cookies, cakes, oven fried chicken, broccoli tots, oven roasted herbed potatoes, meatloaf and last night, rice pudding. I've toasted large rolls in it too. I've used both the regular and convection bake functions in it. Everything bakes evenly without heating up the house. And yes, I have recommended it to several friends. It will be a Christmas present for one of them.

While I knew it would be Extra-Large, it is just that and a bit troublesome. A longer cord would have made finding a home on my already full countertop much easier. The oven itself works great and looks amazing. The oven does tend to get a little hot on the topside and the oven door handle. All said I have really enjoyed my oster extra-large digital toaster oven. Disclaimer: I was given this product as a sample to review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chilley from Don't believe the negatives I researched lots of toaster ovens; and read a ton of reviews- including some negative reviews of this oven. I ended up buying this oven at Walmart because of the 5 year warranty- which I registered right away. None of the negative reviews are correct. I use mine everyday for a bunch of different reasons. I can't say enough nice things about it. It does exactly what its supposed to. The temperature setting is pretty close to the accessory thermometer I use. Time will tell- but 3 mos into it- I love it!

They often do not work and because they are flat, you cannot tell if you are actually pressing anything. The timer button no longer works at all. Very disappointed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by El Grindio from OK oven for some things I bought the extra large countertop oven to replace a much smaller Oster countertop unit I bought about 10 years ago, which I loved, but finally it died... :-(. I probably used that unit 4 or 5 times a week. I do like the size of this one as I can cook more things in it than I could my old one (for example a normal sized pizza). What I don't like about it is that the broiler temperature can not be adjusted, it's permanently set at 450 degrees. Sometimes I need to broil at lower temperatures than that because that's what the food I bought calls for. And I broil MUCH more than I bake so I'm only using it every couple of weeks or so.

Rated 5 out of 5 by VickyT from Great appliance for any cook in any home kitchen! Great product! It has a clean, modern design and is very easy to use. I was a little intimidated by the keypad at first, but after reading the instructions it all made sense. The convection feature cuts down on baking time. I baked a batch of chocolate chip cookies in 2/3 the time that a conventional oven would take, and they turned out evenly baked and perfect! It's a rather large appliance, so by the time you pull it away from the wall a few inches (as directed), it takes up a good 1.5ft x 2ft. of countertop space. But it's also very lightweight and easy to move. It seems pretty durable and easy to clean. One thing I would improve is a tighter spring on the oven door. If you're not careful and you let go of the door when you open it, it will slam down on the countertop. Otherwise the oven met all my expectations and I hope to be able to use it for years to come! (Disclaimer: I received this product as a sample to review.)

By May 2015, ALL of the buttons stopped working!!! The only reason it gets 2 stars is because it was great when the buttons actually worked, but it is completely useless without them!

However, after the first use, I changed my mind! It preheats in seven minutes and doesn't heat up my kitchen or house like my house oven does. (That is great in Florida!) It is the perfect size for everyday cooking and holiday cooking. I prefer to use this oven (and do!) over my kitchen one. I love that it has a removable crumb tray--super east to clean if something spills! This oven is great because it has multi-functions-convection bake, broil, toast, and use it for pizza! The digital buttons are great for knowing the exact temps and time! Great product!!! *Disclaimer-I did receive this product to test, but all opinions are my own.

I've cooked a variety of items from baked casseroles to desserts with success every time. This Oster Toaster oven does everything I expected it to and does it well. It cooks quickly, especially in the turbo convection, and stays very quiet while doing it. The Pizza mode worked perfectly taking a pizza from frozen to cooked. I do have a couple complaints, however. The biggest being that the sides and top of the oven get extremely hot while it is on. The oven is larger than I expected it to be, so be sure you've got enough counters pace for it. I was sent this item to review it

Initially I was overwhelmed by the size of the oven as it takes up quite a bit of room. I used it a few times and was quite underwhelmed. The outside of the unit gets pretty warm and you should not touch or if you have small children you should take care of where you place this item. I thought to myself I will probably not keep this item past the review stage. However, the more I used the convection feature on the oven the more I fell in love with the quality of the food it produced! Now anything I need to bake that will actually fit in the oven I use it. It seems that the bake times are faster and the food just tastes crisper and tastier. Plus it heats up faster than your big bulky oven and I dare say would likely use less electricity. Cool down is fast as well. I will be keeping my oven and using it as long as i can.

It has done a great job with a variety of tasks - frozen pizza, toast, heating leftovers, etc. From a functionality standpoint, it works great. However, there are a few minor issues. First, the power cord is incredibly short. It can't be more and 12"-18" and this really limits where you can put the oven on your counter. Also, I know the oven is "extra large" but it should be called "XXL" - it is massive. If I had to do it over again, I would have got the smaller version. Finally, the front door doesn't have any stops therefore the glass often hits my granite countertop - probably won't be long until it cracks because I open the door too fast. Overall, the product works very well and does a great job with the food itself but some little annoyances keep it from being rated higher. ***Please note, I received this unit as a sample but have used it regularly***

I tried to return it to Walmart where I purchased it, but bc it was longer than 3 months they said to contact the company. That is exactly what I did. I explained how I had bought 2 toaster ovens, one for home and 1 for our RV. The one at home stopped working and would not power up. After a few short emails explaining what numbers they needed off my old unit, they offered a replacement for me. And to my surprise this unit was even bigger and better than my last. So far my family and I are very happy with this unit. It is extra large and fits all my pans. Plus, it cooks very fast with using a lot less energy. Thank you Oster and your wonderful customer service! I will definitely be purchasing more products from this company!

I have cooked, baked, broiled, etc. already with this product. Another great feature is that there is not just Bake, but Convection Bake to distribute the heat all around and cook evenly. I have roasted vegetables, baked fish, baked chicken, baked cookies, and I know it may be hard to believe, but I cooked a 13 lb Turkey for Thanksgiving using only this product. Golden brown, juicy, etc. is how it came out. It made my Turkey come out as if I was using a full size oven if not better. I like modern things, digital features with a lot of options, sleek design, stainless steel, and that is what this product offers. I would recommend this to anyone even if you already have a full size oven. Save time, use less energy, and able to not overheat the kitchen. 5 Stars!

Cooking pies for thanksgiving was a breeze since we had an additional oven now. Using the convection feature the pies came out better than from our regular oven. Everything cooks evenly and thoroughly. Love this toaster oven.

This model is factory calibrated and does not include a manual temperature calibration feature for the user. It is normal to see some temperature variation during the heating cycle, as countertop ovens regulate heat by cycling on and off to maintain the set temperature. However, if your unit consistently does not reach close to 400&deg;F and remains around 330&deg;F, we recommend allowing the oven to fully preheat, using an internal oven thermometer placed in the center of the rack for the most accurate reading, and ensuring the door is fully closed and properly sealed.

The Oster&reg; Extra Large Digital Countertop Oven is equipped with a convection cooking function, which circulates hot air throughout the oven to cook food more evenly and efficiently, similar to how an air fryer works. While it doesn't have the compact size or high-speed fan of a traditional air fryer, the convection feature does help food cook faster and achieve a crispier texture, especially for items like roasted vegetables, baked goods, or frozen snacks.

In general, with convection on, you can expect cook times to be about 20&ndash;30% faster than traditional baking, and at slightly lower temperatures.

Without convection: The oven functions like a standard conventional oven. Cook times will be similar to a full-size oven, though it may still be a bit faster due to the smaller interior and efficient heating elements.

While it may not cook quite as fast as a dedicated air fryer, the Oster&reg; Extra Large Digital Oven offers much more versatility with its extra-large capacity, perfect for baking, roasting, toasting, and more.

Thanks for your question. In the Oster&reg; Extra Large Digital Countertop Oven, the &ldquo;Warm&rdquo; setting is designed to hold food at a low temperature, typically between 130&deg;F and 180&deg;F, with a default around 150&deg;F.

When in Warm mode, only the top heating elements run at half power, while the bottom elements remain off. This setting isn&rsquo;t meant for cooking, just for gentle warming and maintaining food temperature without overcooking.

The Oster&reg; Extra Large Digital Countertop Oven has a built-in safety feature where it will automatically shut off after 30 minutes. This default auto-shutoff is intended to prevent the oven from running indefinitely. Please be aware that this feature is set so that the oven will stop operating after about 30 minutes to enhance safety.
