Thank you for reaching out! Different types of bread require different settings. Lighter breads and waffles require a lighter setting. Darker breads, muffins, and English muffins require a darker setting. You may have to adjust the time and temperature to desired taste. Because your countertop oven is smaller than your regular oven, it will heat up faster and generally cook in shorter periods of time. You may need to adjust your rack position to accommodate food type. Regarding your concern about the heating elements, for Countertop oven’s function guidelines, top heating elements should be turned on. For baking, both Top & bottom heating elements should be on. We may suggest visiting one of our Service centers near your area.
