Care & Maintenance

Always turn your unit off, Unplug and let it cool before cleaning. Do not submerge unit in water. To clean exterior wipe with a damp cloth. Use only mild soapy water. Clean the rack, trays and accessories with a small amount of dishwashing liquid and a non-abrasive sponge or cleaning pad. Empty crumb tray frequently to avoid accumulation of crumbs.

All of a sudden there was a loud frying noise coming from the back. The circuit board was burning up. I took the screws out of the back to look and the thing had fried and melted. Not safe at all. very disappointed

It costs more than similar models, but it was less than the repair cost for the gas stove I had. So I paired it up with a little hot plate and my stainless electric skillet and use the old stove as a counter and pot/pan storage. I bake entire meals in this unit, as it will fit 2 to 4 glass baking pans at once. I bake bread in it twice a week. I even use it as a dehydrator, on the convection setting. And I bake a ton of cakes and cookies in it. Just a couple caveats: (1) 9x13 is the size limit for baking sheets. (2) Be careful opening the door because the edges get hot, and reaching in, keep your hands low to avoid the top elements. Otherwise, this is the best kitchen investment I've ever made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DonK from Incredible We have had this oven for about 2 months now and it has become the main thing we use for baking. The convection feature is great and it makes great bread. I can bake two large loaves at a time and it even will accomodate my Emilie Henry 4.5 qt pan. Baked potataoes can be done (sliced) in as little as 10 minutes. We almost never use our regular oven any more. Yes the timer is automatic at 30 minutes but you can easily add more time. It is big, and the door does open easily and can hit the counter. Just be careful. A big plus is the pull-out tray at the bottom. It is very easy to remove and clean. Don't use tin foil to keep the tray clean since it will interfere with the heating elements and may throw off the thermostat. We purchased ours at Walmart for $79 but I see that the price went back up to $99. Worth the price !!!!

After purchasing this, I noticed that the control pad and buttons was finicky and did not always work, but it seemed to always start working again after a few tries of hitting the buttons. However, after two years, the button pad is completely useless and no longer works. I have always had various Oster products, which is why I gravitated toward buying another product from them. However, after two years I am very disappointed that it has stopped working. I understand that things may break, however for $120 this should last much longer than it has! Hoping it starts working again, because it is a good convection oven, in general!

This is the 2nd one Oster Extra-Large Air Fryer Oven 10-in-1 I purchased, the first one had light inside the oven which was great! It worked perfectly for over the year and then the door spring broke :( I decided to buy the same one cause I loved it, and guess what??? Today - 8 months later - the door spring broke again(?!?!?!) I have to buy something new and was ready to buy the 3rd one but am doing a research and reading the reviews, a lot of people complaining for the same reason! This is such a great oven, why don't you make the quality of the door/spring better? Or make the spring on both sides of the door??? I am sooo upset, I waisted my money again because of the bad quality of the 1 tiny issue??? I wish it could be improved so I could by the same side oven again, but now I have ti search for something different :(:(:(

I am very anxious to start using it regularly, but I've noticed that the clock gains 5 minutes every 12 hrs. so I am constantly resetting it. I have used the bake and convection settings and so far, I'm pleased. As I have read other reviews, I have no idea how so many people got these ovens to test out and didn't purchase them. I'd be interested in hearing from folks that paid for their ovens and if they feel they got their money's worth. It is a big countertop commitment, so you lose work space, but I think the oven is great.

I have used it to cook pizzas, a turkey, cupcakes, casseroles, cookies - and it's so easy to use, my teenager is frequently using it to make quick snacks. This is quickly becoming one of the most used appliances in my kitchen! I received this oven as a sample to try.

However when placed diagonally in the corner atop my kitchen countertop it seems to fit well. Over the past few weeks my family has used the unit to make toast, heat appetizers, warm / toast sandwiches, cook pizza and cook some smaller items. We have been using this unit regularly and have not had any problems with it thus far. This unit was received as a free tester.

I still give this oven an excellent rating because I kept my receipt and booklet together and when I called customer service I had no problem. They are sending me a brand new oven and there customer service was excellent as well. All though it seems like they need to rethink the digital key pad it seems like that is the biggest complaint.

I contacted customer service and was told it was out of the one year warranty. The oven itself works perfectly fine, but the hinge popped when I went to open it and now it stays wide open unless you hold it closed. I was given a repair number which I can’t even get a return call on and even if I eventually do, I’m sure it will be outrageous to fix. I’m very disappointed that the reason my oven is of no use is because the door malfunctioned and more so that this company isn’t able to send a replacement part to fix what seems to be a common problem for this oven. It’s the perfect size for me and as much as I’d like to replace it with the same one, I’m afraid to purchase it and end up with the same problem.

I use it several times a week broiling, baking, keeping things warm, reheating, etc. It works every time. It lacks an oven light - a minor annoyance. So, do many current ovens. Simple solution, use a flash light an keep the glass door clean. I've broiled lamb, fish, veggies; roasted whole chickens, baked biscuits, bread quiche, and more. I can make adjustments to time and temp as I go along. It is not difficult to clean inside and out. This oven is great first- timers, young people, and even better for seniors like me. I have recommended this oven to many people.

I only use my regular stove/oven oven for things that will not fit in the toaster oven. ovenWe have had 3 different ovens over the past 13 years and this one is the best. My delicate biscuits come out perfect, evenly Brown, and tender. We recently had a problem with the temperature control buttons not working. We contacted Oster through email and they are shipping us a replacement! Fantastic customer service! Especially when there is basically ZERO cutomer service from 99% of companies in this day and age.

I have to open it to check my food. The glass door hinge is not as tight as it should be. I like that the interior is stainless steel as well as the outside. It will be easy to clean. I wish it had more than 1 year warranty on the oven. Otherwise I love my oven.

The oven worked fine until one day I turned it on the oven tripped the breaker on my electrical panel. Installed a Receptacle - AFCI/GFCI Outlet it see if that might help. The oven turned on and as soon as it the bake/start button the receptacle tripped and now both are not working. Oh well I guess I will not be purchasing another Oster Countertop Oven and this one will probably be heading to the trash. NOT DEALING WITH WALMART and not spending the money to have it fixed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Frustration Unheard from Cheap Interior Baking Pan and Tray The Oster Countertop Oven has only been used 4-6 times and the baking pan and tray are rusting. You can tell they were made cheap, cheap, cheap! These accessories are no longer fit to use because of the rusting issue. The product support team (Rita) sent me an ignorant response stating that because of the high heat that these items will show discoloration. Really? Discoloration is NOT the same as RUST! Very frustrated and disappointed! I will trash this oven and purchase the one that I should have in the first place, a Breville.

I don't trust it anymore, so I set timers for the same amount of time. I find this extremely sad, as I have always gotten good service from Oster products in the past. Now there isn't even a service center in the part of the USA that I live in. Oster needs to tighten up on their quality.

I am using it in place of a conventional oven, as a conventional oven can be cumbersome for me, in a wheelchair. I use it only occasionally, and the time / temperature display decided to partially burn out, about 3 months ago. Since then, I've used it maybe 2 or 3 times, on the "toast" setting. Looking for someone that can fix the display, without costing me a ton of money.

The first recipe was a large Roast Chicken cooked with the Turbo Convention for a dinner with friends. Everyone raved how moist the chicken stayed and it held the flavors with the convention cooking. Chicken was cooked in over an hour. I also tried the Bake function roasting assorted vegetables which was also a success. I tried the Toasting function. I thought it took longer than a regular toaster, but there are number of settings which you can use to toast it darker and quicker. English Muffins took the longest but were still very good. The broiler function is excellent and I’ve tried Salmon, sirloin steak and chicken breasts and all came out tasty and flavorful. This oven has a wide variety of uses with Turbo Convection, Bake, Broil, Defrost, and Toasting capabilities. It’s easy to read the digital numbers and the timer function gives off a distinctive chirp when food is finished. Only drawback is the front door handle. You have to gently place it down or it falls. I would like to see a catch on the sides so it can stay open. Unit is big so make sure you have enough cabinet space. Overall a versatile oven which can meet a number of needs. Would be perfect for anyone without a regular oven, second home or a college dorm.

The issue that i have is that a few weeks and a couple times after using this oven our glass almost dropped on the floor when we went to open the oven. This makes it difficult and a bit dangerous. Not sure if the heat from the oven melted the glue holding the piece of glass in. Someone times the buttons are hard to push.

Frequently, the buttons do not work and I have to unplug the oven because when I press the "Stop" button, it doesn't stop. I can't get the buttons to do what they're supposed to. My thumb begins to hurt because I try so many times over and over then I give up. Because we use this oven daily, we find that there are times when it works completely fine, but not many. :(

Rated 4 out of 5 by angelakrg from Great but could be improved I was really excited about receiving this new Toaster/Convection Oven to review, as it had been a long while since I had gotten a new one. My last toaster oven was small but usable, but it didn’t have many of the features that newer models were coming with now a days. I got the extra large model but was still surprised at the size of it. It’s HUGE! If you have limited countertop space you might want to go with another model. It has a nice, sleek look to it and the digital display is very nice. I like the removable crumb tray at the bottom and the included broiler/bake pan. It has worked very well for me so far, I made a London Broil in it using the broil option and the cook time wasn’t any longer or shorter than using the regular oven, but it didn’t heat up the whole house like the regular oven would have. There were a couple minor issues I found with the unit though. Even though the instruction booklet had the pictures for this unit the wording was obviously written for an earlier model. Trying to figure out how to set the levels for toast the instructions tell you to move a dial and pick a picture of how dark you want your toast to be. Neither of which is available on the digital display of my unit. So setting it for light toast was a trial and error affair. Certainly need to check the instructions before printing them out to make sure they are accurate for the unit they are included with. Also while making the london broil the coils didn’t heat to glowing so there was no light inside the oven. I had to start up the flashlight app on my phone to check the meat. An interior light might be something they should look into adding to later models.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Chella85 from The best not so mini toaster oven! I have enjoyed using this toaster oven. It heats the food I prepare evenly and it doesn't dry it out. I appreciate how large it is, especially during large family meals, as it makes preparing all the food much simpler! Having an auto shut off feature is such a blessing. I love how many slices of toast I can prepare at once too! The pizza function hasn't gotten much use because it is specifically for pizzas that need to be baked at 400 degrees for 20 minutes and I don't seem to buy that kind. The convection bake button is my personal favorite. Food heats up fast and evenly. The warm button takes too long and doesn't work that well. I love the crumb tray, it makes clean up much easier. I do wish the cord was longer. It is so short I have to keep it near an outlet which isn't the most convenient place for me to put it. I would also appreciate it if additional bakeware was an option to purchase. Basically, I love this oven. The small complaints I have in no way lessen how well this oven works. It uses much less energy than my standard and can handle almost anything I throw at it. Disclaimer: I received the toaster oven for free to review but these opinions are my own.
