Care & Maintenance

Always turn your unit off, Unplug and let it cool before cleaning. Do not submerge unit in water. To clean exterior wipe with a damp cloth. Use only mild soapy water. Clean the rack, trays and accessories with a small amount of dishwashing liquid and a non-abrasive sponge or cleaning pad. Empty crumb tray frequently to avoid accumulation of crumbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JumpCake from Very Good Appliance I am totally impressed with the performance of this oven. We do a lot of cooking and baking but our camper has a gas oven like most RV's. We replaced the gas oven with this convection toaster / pizza oven. Wow baked bread in it perfect , make two full size pizzas at once. Broiler function is a little weaker than I would prefer but still works great. It's amazing how well such a low cost item can perform.

I have tried plunging the oven and pressing the stop button. I suspect there is a defect in one of the control chips. It does stop blinking if I select another function. but then goes back to blinking again. I am concerned this is a safety issue. Please advise

I gave this rating for two reasons i had a wonderful Oster toaster oven that lasted over 15 years or more it was the workhorse of my kitchen. It was my first experience with a convection oven and i loved it. Hence the new Oster xl convection toaster oven came today. Just a tip check both top and bottom heating elements before turning on theres alot of cardboard wrapped around these areas.

So we are out of the warranty and are screwed. The first time the oven just totally died after 2 years. This time the bake, convection, warm and temp settings stopped working. The broil, pizza and defrost still work. I would not recommend getting this model.

It has a gas oven, which I had never used before and I began to look for a big toaster over that would accommodate my 9”x13” casserole dishes. This has been THE best addition to our RV! We put our older. Smaller toaster oven in our basement at home and have never looked back. We RV for weeks/months at a time and use this oven daily! Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Goldie from Lots of room So much room to cook large items. I just love this oven. I've never used a convection oven before this but with their buttons it makes it simple to use. Cooks fast, tastes great. I'm really happy with this product. The only con would be that it gets very hot and I'm always afraid the door is going to slam down when opening it. But if you need I large toaster oven I recommend this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Planetpatroller from Versatile, Beautiful, and Easy to Use Upon trying out the Oster Extra-Large Digital Toaster Oven with Convection, I found that this unit is easy to use, has a very attractive design with a stainless steel finish to complement today's trend in kitchen appliances, and it performs well with a variety of tasks. It is large enough to accommodate a 12 inch frozen pizza with ease, bake frozen snacks to perfection, as well as whatever else you might desire to use this appliance for. Multiple functions include toast, bake, broil, defrost, warm, turbo convection, and pizza setting. The unit comes with two metal racks, an internal removable crumb tray, and a baking pan (approximately 10" x 12" x 1"). There are two positions which the racks can be set at inside the oven. Although there is no light inside the oven, the front door is clear glass, which allows for easy viewing of the food inside. Although the users manual was rather sparse with directions for a first-time user, this unit is relatively easy to figure out, and the essential instructions are there. Having never owned or used a toaster oven previously, it would have been especially helpful if the user manual included ideas of what types of foods this appliance can be used for. As expected, the list of important safeguard instructions is rather lengthy, so it is truly important to read these before using the appliance for the first time. For instance, the top of the unit becomes quite hot to the touch, and instructions say not to have anything on top of the unit while in use. This should be taken seriously. Instructions also say not to use aluminum foil to cover the crumb tray or any part of the oven, as this will cause overheating of the appliance. Fortunately the baking pan seems to be durable enough to last, so lining it with foil should not be necessary. Overall, I enjoy using this appliance because it is easy to use, attractive, and functions well. I would not hesitate to recommend this model to friends or family who are looking to buy a new toaster oven. I received this product as a sample to review. I toast, bake both regular and convection, broil, make pizzas, pies, cookies, cakes, small turkeys. I use it for everything. I love it!!!!! Have never been disappointed. Beginning to purchase another and so happy they still manufacture this model.......Try it you will not be disappointed.

The big concern is the handle to open the door, to remove food items, gets extremely hot & I have to actually use a pot holder to avoid getting burnt.. It is too hot to handle with bare hands. Never had a convection toaster oven previously with this problem/issue. I fear possible severe burns as it is.

I'm single but cook a lot, use it every day and often multiple times a day, and have yet to find anything I can't use this oven for, except for the very rare occasion when I'm cooking for a crowd and need to use larger bakeware.I appreciate the variety of features, not the least of which is the convection oven option. It easily holds a 10x15" sheet pan, large pizzas, and even my cast iron skillets. Like most ovens, it does have its hot spots so to get even browning on baked goods you might have to rotate the pan the last few minutes of the cycle. But if browning is not necessary, no need to rotate. It still cooks evenly. The only reason I'm on this site is because it's now time to replace my favorite kitchen appliance. I've worn out the door, so, I was hoping to find this same model is still available. Much relieved that it appears to be!

Opened it and no instructions. Called my friend who said she got it from Target. Called Target said they couldn't give me a refund as my friend lost her reciept. I figured ok ill make it work. Unfortunately I can't find instructions online on how to preheat or how to yell if the temperature is where I need it to be. Searched for an hour online for instructions or videos but no one can tell me how to work my new toaster oven! I bake a lot and my apartment only has a hot plate no actual stove/oven combo so this is all I have to use. Would appreciate someone emailing me instructions on preheating/cooking time set up. I did make cinnamon rolls in it as a test. 375 for 8 minutes and they burned on the outside. Also from what I read the coils are supposed to light up but they didn't. @oster would appreciate a set of instructions

I purchased a oven liner to keep my wonderfull compact oven clean! Not a disappointment, knew an Oster product would be the best, I had a smaller Oster oven 10 years old and still cooks, just wanted a larger oven...You can't go wrong with Oster!!!

I can do everything in this oven that you can do it a full size oven and I bake all the time. The only thing that is a bit of a pain is to turn things half way through the cooking process, other than that this oven has been perfect and it's quite attractive as well.

I made two pieces of toast, they came out perfect, but then the display read “E2” and would not stop beeping. None of the buttons would respond on the front panel. I unplugged the oven and let it cool down. After it cooled down, I plugged it back in and the beeping continued and “E2” was displayed on the front.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Hennalou from 3 days ago I bought it 3 days ago. I had a power XL that I never knew what the temp was. Dial knobs, temp and time. Time spring loaded. I never trusted them. I was always sorry I bought it. Wanted a digital unit, I just feel they're more reliable. I tested it on broil at 450 and it would not go above 320, so I threw it out. Bought the TSSTTVDGXL, it is big, to my surprise. I turned it on and wondered if it was on, no noise, even with turbo convection. I guess I thought I'd hear something like the other. Then I think I never hear a regular oven. As per reviews it does get hot, do not touch. And the temp is about 25 degrees hotter than temperature control is set for, but I can live with that and make adjustments. It does come with a cheap pan, but I have bakeware. So far I am pleased. Just hope the glass doesn't shatter as some reviews. Wonder if you offer tempered glass as replacement, in the event. The size is what I really liked, with digital control.

I cannot figure out how to use the bake function without using the timer which automatically sets by itself! Called Oster but got an overseas customer service person with a horrible language barrier. Couldn't really communicate at all.

The Handle is made of stainless steal and rubber (doesnt get hot) but behind the handle there is a strip of metal that gets very hot. Im rather small so my hands arent huge or anything, but still touches the metal strip. Not enough clearence!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by khike from Easy to use after watching videos, reading manual I wanted a large convection oven that would take the place of my built-in apartment-oven from 1974. The built-in one is not Energy-star rated, and it heats up the entire small kitchen. I have now used the Oster convection oven about one dozen times since early December 2017. So far I have only used the Turbo-convection setting. The oven heats quickly, does not heat up the kitchen, and cools quickly after cooking. Best of all, the baking times are consistently shorter than the recipe calls for. I am also able to cook the recipes at slightly lower temperatures. Since I read some reviews about problems with the front door, I am being careful when I use the door. No problems so far. I hope this oven will last for years! It is really a delight to use. The large interior allows me to use the various Pyrex loaf, pie, and baking dishes I already own. I’m looking forward to trying pizza, too. A definite improvement to my kitchen system. I decided to take a chance on it, and I'm so glad I did It works! I can cook a turkey or ham in a bag or vegetables potatoes most anything I want. I love it! It can even cook a pie or cake.

The 3 slices at the back of the pan were cooked & browned nicely after a few minutes. The 3 slices in front were barely brown. I was disappointed that the oven did not cook/brown evenly. Is my oven defective?

Now for some reason, the touchpad that starts the oven is real finicky. It takes at least ten tries before we get the oven to fire up. Of all the things to have a problem with, the “on” switch! Don’t buy an Oster touch screen.

Now I have to tape it shut to cook anything in the oven and the spring latch that holds the door in a lay down in 90 degree angel has popped off and it sprung back into the slot. Very disappointed in this feature doing that.

It is small enough to fit in the space i need it to and works great for all the needs we have for it. I am able to cook a lot with this nice oven. and it does not get out of hand on the heat. i am able to control the temperature and the food comes out just right. We are happy we have it.

Purchased an identical one a year ago and just after the warranty expired, the same thing happened. Honestly this is a good product but I’m thoroughly disappointed in the quality of the door spring. Would love to purchase this convection oven to replace my old Oster convection oven but the fact that it doesn’t have a light is a deal breaker. How much would it add to the cost to have put a light in? By the amount of reviews mentioning the lack of a light, perhaps the product designers will reconsider in future production.

It can be set to shut off when done with the time. My only complaint is that the rubber protectors for the glass door fell off. I am trying to order new ones. They keep the heat in better.

The only thing i would change if at all possible would be to put some sort of light inside so you can see your food.( i would be willing to even test it for you). Other then that i would not change a thing..

SO SAD!!! it cooked 16-inch pizzas with no problems. bought a smaller oven the tssttvskbt .i hope this one lasts as long as my first one.

I live in a trailer which in summer sux to turn on oven cause of heat. Now I'm stuck no warranty n refuse to buy new one with having air fryer. But just can't get eggs to hard boil that way.
