Care & Maintenance

Always turn your unit off, Unplug and let it cool before cleaning. Do not submerge unit in water. To clean exterior wipe with a damp cloth. Use only mild soapy water. Clean the rack, trays and accessories with a small amount of dishwashing liquid and a non-abrasive sponge or cleaning pad. Empty crumb tray frequently to avoid accumulation of crumbs.

I was going to buy one for a friend who lives alone so she can cook her pizzas because most ovens will not hold the frozen pizzas from the store. Cooking times are correct and easy to use the push buttons. I bake everything in mine and love it.

Can't get it to go off unless it's unplugged and talking to anyone form the Oster co is next to impossible. So this piece of garbage I guess is already broken and I didn't even use it a lot.

I put 2 slices in, selected toast, adjusted temp to highest level (6). After 5-6 min it dings bread is dry and crisp but not toasted. Thank God Walmart has a great return policy.

I have burned myself on the glass of the oven several times and now my daughter just burned herself. I would think that would be a safety issue. The outside of the glass gets extremely hot.

First, the start button would not work right, then the temp controls. The great news was that when I contacted the company, they replaced my oven. Great customer service!

After several years of use, the only thing that has failed is the door spring and we can't find a replacement spring for it. Any help where to find one would be helpful.

It takes FOREVER for the toast to brown. I thought I was doing something wrong but I am not happy with this at all. Toast should not take 4-5 minutes!

Rated 2 out of 5 by CrystalB316 from Doesn't stop heating when turned off. We've had this oven for about a year now. At some point, it wouldn't stop heating when you pressed the stop button. So, now we have to be very careful. We unplug the unit after each use. Probably not the best for the unit, but it's the only way to ensure it won't burn down our house. After we press the stop button the coils will become red with heat and stay that way until its unplugged. Thankfully, we figured that out while we were still home one day. Maybe we got a defective one, not sure, but just be careful with it! Also, agree with other reviewers it does take a couple of minutes to pre-heat. It does heat a little unevenly. We do enjoy the convection setting for baked goods. That works nicely. Just keep your receipts if you buy this one, just in case you get an odd one like ours! And always check to make sure it actually stops heating after pressing stop/cancel button. And yes, we have tried this multiple times pressing the button many times. Still does not stop the heat, just cranks it all the way up until it's unplugged.

While I have yet to use the cooking features, the clock gains about a minute a day. So after a week, the time was off by 7 minutes.

I attempted to use this oven to bake some pork ribs long and slow. Much to my surprise the oven shut off on its own. I turned it back on and it ran for a short time. When I checked it again it was again cold. I completely read the included manual and could not find any answers. After some research on the internet, I found that this oven shuts off on its own after about 30 minutes (without the timer set). There is no mention of this mandatory shut off feature in the manual or on any Oster web site that I have read. This is a VERY ANNOYING feature. It would have been appropriate for Oster to mention this feature in the manual as well as on any vendor that sells this oven. Also, as easy as it is to program electronics now a days, it would be nice to have a longer timer than just 90 minutes. So, I guess what I am asking is, can the "Mandatory shut off" feature be turned off permanently? Am I doing something wrong?
