Love that this is for all types of sandwiches!
This sandwich maker rocks! I admittedly can't cook - at least not well enough to make a grilled cheese over the stove. Yet, this sandwich maker saves the day and doesn't require major expertise to use. You can easily clean the plates. Also, the bread toasts well no matter how thick it is or how thin. I specifically tested both thinner and thicker bread, and both cook well in this sandwich maker. You can even see on the book other recommended types of sandwiches. You can even make a ham and cheese melt as I did. The sandwich maker also helps to keep the bread from moving too much when the cheese is melting. I loved how it cooks from all angles and makes sandwiches so fast.

Doesn't cut into bread or confine materials well
I tried to give this a few tries with different sandwiches, but it just never worked out. I did give it a couple stars because it gets hot very quickly. However, each time I followed the instructions of greasing up the surface a bit and placing the sandwich into the machine, everything would immediately ooze out and the sandwich would not be cut properly. It came out without any sort of good crisp to it and felt more soggy and unedible. It seems much more efficient to just toast bread in a toaster or place your sandwich on a hot pan for a couple minutes.

Fast and effective
This sandwich maker rocks! My 3 year old son loves grilled cheese sandwiches but only toasted from restaurants and I am always trying to find ways to get him to eat. Since having this sandwich maker I’ve made him so many different variations of sandwiches and so far he’s liked so many! He says they all taste so good because they are warm and in triangles. Which is exactly what this maker does. We all as a family have been enjoying making different sandwich combos to try. The machine is easy to use, small enough to store easily and cleans super easy as well.

Sandwich Maker Review.
Oster Sandwich Maker is a great product, it is easy to use. While heating up only the red will be lit and when the green is also lit it is ready to use. Great at non stick even without using non stick spray. Browns the sandwich quickly and evenly and melts the cheese for a toast, warm sandwich. It is easy to clean. Easily stored.
A couple things I didn't like are, how short the cord is, it would be helpful if it was a little longer. I also didn't like the handle and how it locks. Other than that it is a great product. I do recommend it to others.

Very Basic
I got this over a month ago, and tried making sandwiches for the second time. I was very disappointed to find out my 2 pieces of meat and 1 piece of cheese made the sandwich to thick for the sandwich maker. I couldn't close the lid all the way and so I had to hold it down and approximate when my sandwich would be done. Then to top it off i had to use a wet towel because the inside doesn't come out to wash.

Hard to use
I got this to make hot sandwiches easier. It does make two sandwiches at once, liked that. I made one grilled cheese for my child and a ham and cheese for me. The latch is not easy to open, so while trying to open the latch the sandwiches burned some. Otherwise tasted good. Since the cheese got all over and leaked out, it made a mess and it was harder to clean the product.

Easy to use, but...
I would've given this 5 stars but it's not very easy to clean. Sometimes the cheese melts into the back of the grill and it's hard to clean it out. It would also be nice if the plates were removable to clean thoroughly. The one great thing is that my 9yr old daughter has learned how to use it and now can make sandwiches for her and her little brother.

Nice sleek model.
This stainless steel top sandwich maker looks really nice on my kitchen counter-top. It is small, compact and stylish. It has a good nonstick coating that browns the sandwich well. The sandwiches turn out crisp on the outside. I didn't even have to use a non-stick spray on it before making my sandwiches.
It is easy to use and clean too. It has two indicators red and green. Only the red will be light up when you plug it in and it is heating. It turns green when the sandwiches are ready.
Sandwiches are ready in a couple of minutes. The maker browns the sandwiches evenly and melts the cheese quickly. Great for frilled cheese.
A few things I didn't like about this sandwich maker were, that the cord is very short so the maker has to be placed somewhere close to the electric board. I also didn't like the handle lock system, which is difficult to lock when the sandwich is a little bit loaded with stuffing.
Though it makes two sandwiches at a time, you can only use this for small slices of bread. I like to eat the edges of bread but I have to cut them to accommodate two sandwiches or make just one sandwich at a time.
Overall I would say a good sandwich maker for one person use.

Thank you for reaching out to Oster&reg;. We appreciate your interest with our product. The trays for this Oster&reg; DiamondForce&trade; Sandwich Maker are not removable. However, as the cooking surface is non-stick it is very easy to clean. You can wipe trays clean with a paper towel, absorbing any oil or butter that might be down in the grooves of the grid.
