Rated 1 out of 5 by from A pain to clean! Yes, it makes good waffles. However, it's very easy for this appliance to get messy and it can't be cleaned to my standards! "Do not immerse in water" equals straight up unsanitary!!! I cringe at the thought of using more than once!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not stick I bought this 2 days ago and used it for the first time today. The top grid dies not get very hot, did not brown . The bottom grid did brown but to get a really brown, crisp waffle it will have to be on max! Not happy at all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use I received this waffle maker as a sample to test. The waffle maker made great waffles and was easy to clean. My only complaint is that it should have come with some sort of non stick tongs or spatula to remove the waffles.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent Waffle Maker, Nothing Special I received this machine last month to review and have been using it for close to four weeks. So far it is easy to use and makes decent fluffy waffles. I have not tried the recipes included instead I have used homemade batter or store bought boxed batter. My waffles come out exactly as I want them, slightly crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. Best of all nothing sticks even though I have not seasoned the iron since the first day and have already made about 25-30 waffles. It is also compact, light, and easy to store. I only have two complaints. First, the stainless steel finish doesn't seem that durable as it can be scratched easily with a kitchen towel when wiping off extra batter that spills out the sides. Seconds, the iron doesn't seem to heat evenly even when left to reach a "green" light before pouring the batter. Overall it does what it's supposed to and makes basic waffles. A cast waffle iron makes the best waffles though it’s more expensive, but making one in this is close. If you have never had a waffle made in a cast iron maker then you will never notice a difference. Overall this machine makes decent waffles but I do not think it will last long. Cosmetically after four weeks it looks like it has aged 5 years as the finish is very dull and I wouldn’t be shocked if it stripped off in a few months.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent waffle maker and more The Oster waffle maker is great. Not only can you make wonderful easy waffles you can use it to make sandwiches and even cinnamon rolls. The waffles cook quickly and you can adjust the temperature to your desired crispness. The unit is small making it easy to store and is very easy to clean. I made regular waffles and blueberry waffles with fresh and frozen blueberries. Either one turned out great. I froze some and then broke into quarters and toasted them in the morning for a quick breakfast. The sandwiches were made from Pillsbury grand biscuits flattened out and filled with pepperoni and cheese and then dipped in pizza or spaghetti sauce so quick and easy. You can do the same with ham and cheese or make your on combinations. I did the same thing with Pillsbury cinnamon rolls turned out pretty good and quick. I am still experimenting with things I can do with this waffle maker. My wife who is not a fan of waffles has liked everything that has come out of this waffle maker. I would have no reservations recommending this waffle maker to anyone looking to buy a waffle maker/sandwich maker and beyond. Oster is a well know brand and makes quality products and this is another one. You will not be disappointed and the price is very good for all the things you can do with this unit. I received this unit as a sample to review. That in no way influenced my opinion of this waffle maker. This is actually how I have used it and what I have made with it. It is not sold as a sandwich maker that is something I discovered myself. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have and come up with your own ideas for other uses.
