Great question! To turn the rice cooker on, push the switch down. When it's cooking, the yellow Cook indicator light on the right side of the machine will illuminate. When all the water in the rice cooker has evaporated, the switch will pop up and the red Keep Warm indicator light on the left will come on. Once this has happened, your rice is ready to enjoy.

We're sorry to hear that you have misplaced your rice cooker measuring cup. The rice cooker measuring cup is equal to 3/4 cup on a standard measuring cup. The water is added directly to the inner pot after the rice to the marking on the pot. We do not recommend that our appliances be used with any converters, inverters, transformers, or any thing that changes the current. Additionally, do so will void your warranty. The amps are figured by dividing the watts by the voltage.

Absolutely! Brown rice will turn out delicious in the rice cooker. Simply put the correct amount of water and rice ratio into the cooker. It will turn to Keep Warm when all the water is absorbed and the rice is ready to eat. It will take longer than the same amount of white rice. Enjoy!
