Thank you for reaching out to Oster®. We appreciate your interest with our product. The frozen button is used for defrosting your frozen bread. Just press the frozen button and then the frozen light will illuminate to indicate your selection. The toaster will defrost and then toast your bread. After the desired level of darkness has been reached, the food will pop up automatically. The bread carriage lever will return to the up position and the indicator lights will turn off. Hope this helps. Have a good day!

Thank you for reaching out to Oster®. We are sorry to hear that the latch of your toaster does not stay down. No worries, we are here to help. In some cases, this is caused by a build up of crumbs in the bottom of the toaster. You may try to unplug the unit. Let it rest for few minutes and turn it upside down to see if some bread crumbs will come out. Afterwards, try using the toaster again. Also, the toaster must be plugged in to a direct wall outlet and have power running to it, otherwise the lever will not stay down. Your toaster has a year limited warranty. If this wouldn't help fix the issue, we'd like to kindly request that you contact us directly in order to help you get to the best resolution. Have a good day!

I am interested in this toaster but I want to make sure both sides of the bread is toasted at the same time an that is what the "Toast" button indicates. I don't like toasters that only toast one side of the bread and the other side has no toasted color.

Thank you for reaching out to Oster®. We appreciate your interest with our product. This Oster® 2-Slice Toaster will toast both sides of your bread. Make sure when toasting two slices at a time, the slices should be of equal size and freshness to ensure even toasting. Please take note that it will only toast one side for the bagel setting. Hope this helps. Have a nice day!
