Description
The Oster® 2-Slice Touchscreen Toaster with Easy Touch technology toasts your bread to perfection. The intuitive interface is incredibly responsive, and lets you program toasting with a single touch.
A digital countdown timer shows your toast's progress and counts down the time remaining in the toasting cycle so you will know exactly when it will be ready to enjoy. This touch screen toaster has 6 toast shade settings, with a toasting shade for every taste.
This 2-slice toaster has 3 different functions including Bagel, Reheat, and Frozen. The Bagel function delicately toasts your bagel to perfection. Reheat lowers the slice back into the slots to reheat without re-toasting. Frozen lets you defrost your bread before toasting.
This Oster toaster also features a quick-check lever that elevates food to check browning throughout the toasting cycle without interruption and helps easily remove toast when it's done. It also includes a removable crumb tray for easy cleaning.

Care & Maintenance
Cleaning Your Toaster
• After use and before cleaning, unplug wall plug and wait for toaster to cool.
• Wipe the outside of toaster with a damp cloth and dry with another cloth or paper towel. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
CAUTION: Do not immerse in water or any liquid.
• To avoid damage to toaster heating elements, do not use any pointed or sharp articles for cleaning the inside of the toaster.
• CAUTION: Empty the crumb tray frequently. Crumbs will accumulate in the crumb tray and could catch fire if not emptied periodically. When the toaster has cooled down completely, tap the sides of the toaster lightly to dislodge any crumbs caught in the toaster chamber, remove the crumb tray and empty it. Wipe the tray clean with a damp cloth or place it in the top rack of your dishwasher for cleaning. Tap sides again to ensure proper disposal. Return crumb tray back into the toaster before using again.

Bagel feature toasts both sides
Bagel feature does not work. Thought we bought a bad unit, returned it and got another one, and that one didn't work either. Don't offer a bagel setting if it doesn't work.

I have the same problem - the toaster lever firmly &quot;latches&quot; when in the down/on position. My toaster is brand new, so there's no issue with crumbs or dirt, and everything else works fine. I strongly suspect the manual is in error, as I have never heard of a toaster that doesn't &quot;latch&quot; into the down position. However, please notify me if I am wrong, so I can get this problem corrected.

I am puzzled why the Oster Customer Care representative says there's no feature that will raise the bread higher. In the toaster manual found on this webpage, the top of p. 9 says: &quot;You can lift the lever upwards from its rest position to raise the toast and make it easier to remove.&quot; I own the 2-slice version, and the lever shows &quot;Lift&quot; - you indeed can lift it higher than the normal resting position.
