It was priced higher than all of the other toasters in the store so I thought I was getting a good quality toaster. I did Not.. I'll try to return it for a less ex;pensive and little known brand

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the best I was given this model for my birthday a couple of years ago to replace my 2 slot. It worked fine in the beginning for toast and bagels, but not for things like toaster strudels. They were usually still cold in the middle. Now they are always cold and crispy on the edges and that is only, because I lay them sideways in there. I do not recommend this product unless you're only using it as a toaster.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy if you want 4 slices We bought this because as a family of 4 we really needed a 4 slice toaster but, after trying everything recommended we still only have a 2 slice toaster it's brand new and the 2pnd side will not stay down whatsoever the right side works just fine and there's no crumbs stuck as we can't use that side I'm extremely upset and wish I'd never spent $40 on this peice of junk.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not have 30 days and is junk We have not had this toaster more than 30 days and now it's junk. Neither side will stay down to hold the toast down. There is no way to fix the item. We are out of luck moreless is what the customer service rep told us. $60 toaster paid over $2 a day to use in the short 30 day span of owning. Would not recommend buying.

Bought three months ago and went to use it for only the fourth time in three months and the sliders won't lock into position and the left knob broke off. Very disappointed with this toaster. What ever happened to good old American craftsmanship.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 1/2 of toaster doesn't work after very few uses I bought this toaster within the past year. I don't use the right side of the toaster very often. Went to use it last night and it doesn't stay down. Unplugged it, cleaned the crumb trays, plugged back in. Still doesn't work. The left side is fine. So far. Very disappointed in the quality of this toaster.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 4 slicer toaster Toaster Sucks! Bought about 6 months ago and constantly we have to fight to get the bagel or bread to go down. It’s only my husband and I and we only use it a couple times a week. My last roster lasted 8 years and I only got rid of it cause it was dingy looking. Now I wish I had kept it for a back up.

First pops up without toasting the bread (no matter the bread or highest setting) so turn down the temperature, push down then it burns whatever you had in it. Never again will I purchase another Oster product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Major Defect w/ 4- slice Toaster I have the same issue as almost everyone else. The right side will not stay down. I have cleaned out the few crumbs that were in the trays so that is not the issue. There seems to be a major defect in the toaster. And apparently Oster does not want to recognize it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Toaster Purchased in January, it no longer works, it was almost impossible to find setting that would properly toast bread and would not do it evenly, one side was always darker. Now that it has failed, I will get a toaster that works.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Had to leave one star in order to post I have a four slice toaster - has the same issue as so many other customers are reporting. Worked well out of the box - for a short time. Then one side (2 slices) would not stay down nor power up. I have used toasters most of my life and understand the common usages - besides toasting, crumbs need to be emptied frequently. Anyway, we dealt with one half of the device malfunctioning, until after cleaning crumbs the other side also won't stay down or power up. To be honest, I have no inkling when I purchased toaster, however, we moved into a new house with all new appliances - and - my previous toaster was at least 20 years old, so I had no reason to think that a new one would malfunction within months or getting it - threw away box and paperwork.... my bad..... In finality - in spite of customer after customer reporting same issue, they invited me to go pound sand. SO, I will not buy another OSTER product, will try and discourage anyone I know from wasting the money on this shabby item. Oh yeah, bottom held on by non-standard fasteners and despite a large and varied tool collection, do not have anything to check it further. Da not waste your money on this piece of junk
