Rated 5 out of 5 by from I can make anything I bought two of these last January and the one I stored, the other I use everyday. It's all about racks and drip pans and casserole dishes and being creative. I can make browned up biscuits to pizza to roasts and bake up potatoes and I love the fact you can steam up veges and fish by adding water to the bottom. There is nothing I can't make in it. I even made rice, cakes and Belgium waffles. It's not just for meats but ribs, sausage, hotdogs, pork roast, all cooked up great. It is the size of two crock pots--and I can use it like a crock pot. I love it so much. It's just the perfect size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ordering a second one for future use. It is smaller than my microwave and fits great on my little counter. I use a foil pan under a 2 inch rack and my first fudge cake came out perfectly baked. A pork butt roast, 7lbs, was browned and crispy on the outside, all the fat drained out using a 2 inch tall rack. The roast had really brown to char bits on the top and sides and moist inside--5 star roast. I measured from handle-to-handle just 22 inches and 12 inches from the back-to-the front, or from the wall to the front of the roaster. But you can fit a great deal into this. I am going to stay with that 2 inch high rack to drain fat and get that browning. I am so happy with this product. p.s. I ordered a 14 gauge air conditioning cord, three prong, 15 Amp, to be safe if I need to extend the short cord. But since it is small and fits on my counter, maybe I won't need it. The manual says you can use an extension cord, but this is 1450 watts, so go over that rating or over 13 Amps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, it is a gem! I need to know if I can put the removable roaster pan in a regular oven to crisp the skin of poultry. I cooked two chickens in it and they were wonderful and moist...but, I would like to crisp the skin a bit. The instruction book says to crisp further, put the poultry in a 425 degree oven for 30 minutes. It would be nice if I could just lift the entire pan out and place in the oven. Any idea?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 16-Quart Roaster Oven with Self-Basting Lid Good product. The self basting lid definitely enhances the cooking quality and time so you have to get used to that and check to make sure your food is not going to be overcooked. The size is just right and it is easy to clean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crust A Must? I had to replace my Oster Roaster once because a black crust-like substance forms on the inside of the roaster. I'm assuming it's where the juices burn on the sides. I've just held on to the replacement but continue to have this issue, which makes it hard to clean. I was advised not to cover the bottom with foil, so is "crust a must?"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I love how easy this is to use and it keeps the meats tender and juicy. This frees up the regular oven for other baking when fixing large meals. I haven't tried baking cakes or other items in it yet--just meat. I would like to be able to purchase a separate buffet server insert for it but haven't been able to find one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lid is warped I have used my roasting oven 6-7 times. Works great, cooks 19 lb turkey in about 2.5 hours. However, the lid doesn’t close tight anymore, making the product useless. I store it in the box it came in, so I don’t know why the lid is slightly warped. How can i order a new lid?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oster 22 Quart Roaster I just purchased a new Oster 22 Quart Roaster. Do you have a roasting time guide for stuffed turkeys by turkey weight?
