Rated 1 out of 5 by gray from DESIGN PROBLEM We live in Central America and paid a little more $$, than suggested price... We have the same problems as previously noted herein; but, in examining the operation of the cutting blade and the drive wheel, the problem is in aligning the can properly to start cutting... The opener needs another "guide" pin, to the right of the drive gear... That will permit the can to be properly positioned and leveraged into the drive wheel... If the can is leveraged into the drive wheel properly, then the cutter will enter the can and the "auto" process will start... Until I "fix" this problem, my wife will NOT USE THIS PRODUCT...

Rated 1 out of 5 by Scot from Does not work! We bought this can opener thinking it would a great replacement for our old one. Needless to say, it is worse than the one we replaced. It is very difficult to get a can to stay on the cutting wheel without restarting it several times and punching several holes in the tops of cans before it finally grabs hold. It is also extremely noisy to use. We paid good money for this item and for it not to work was a waste of our money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Pam49057 from Bad choice! I bought this can opener and within 2-3 months it started making a lot of loud noises and did not open cans smoothly. I was dumb enough to buy another and the same thing happened again, only that one only opened maybe 10 cans. I will NOT be buying this one again!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Wildlonewolf from Love the styling The product is attractive and functional. Works well as a can opener - just common sense needed when opening cans of a liquid nature. The knife sharpener does its job well, I never realized my blade was dull until I used it after sharpening. The can opener is a great touch. My family loves Mexican Coke. The only reason it's a 4 star product in my book, is that if its a tall can opener it should have enough room to open a bottle of Mexican Coke with no issues - but it's not quite tall enough. Problem solved by moving can opener to edge of counter. Looks attractive in my kitchen and is a joy to use. *disclaimer* I have received this product as a sample to review.

Rated 1 out of 5 by ChocolateMoosie from Will Not Open Can I bought this can opener and kept it hoping it would start working better, but it never did. It will only open a can after you remove the paper from the can and often, it still takes a lot of work to get the can to open. I wish I would have kept my 30 year old can opener because it worked better than this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hatster from Opens Effortlessly If I could give it more stars I would. I bought a tall CanOpener about a year ago ( a different brand )and all I've had is problems the top falls off I never could get it put back on it's just a pain to use I end up using my hand can opener. I have used this CanOpener about 12 times have not had any problems. It opened the cans effortlessly. I cannot say enough how nice it is to use a CanOpener that actually works. The look of the canOpener is very nice. It is a nice stainless steel and it just goes really nice in my kitchen. Oh I have donated the old one hope they have better luck with it. I received the open to do a review, but it ended up being the best I ever had.

Rated 1 out of 5 by KatG from This is a piece of junk...Dont waste your money This was given to us as a wedding gift as I registered for it. From the very first time I used it it ran as though it was dying. Kind of like when batteries are dying on a something, slow and labored. It occasionally works, but not well. Sometimes when you peel the label of the can it helps, but it often takes 3 minutes of fighting with the machine angling the can in all different ways and stopping and starting to get it going. I gave up and purchased a dollar store hand held can opener and my life is easier for it.
