Rated 1 out of 5 by billt08 from Bad Toaster Bought this toaster for around $55.00 thinking I would go mid-range. Well, let me tell you the only thing good about this product is its looks. The worst toasting, toaster I have ever purchased. Burns on one half while the other stays untoasted have to move whatever you are toasting around in the slots to keep from burning. Half of the elements don't look like they are heating, have it cranked up to seven and still doesn't toast. Far as I am concerned I should have bought a $10.00 toaster that way I wouldn't feel like I was ripped off when it didn't toast correctly, although it would probably work better than this thing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by LysineCarsick from Disappointing! I bought this toaster as a gift for my husband at the start of "tomato season" for our many dinners of BLTs. We previously had a $15 toaster from Fleet Farm that was just a 2 slice... This toaster cost $50 and is the worst toaster we have ever had. It toasts unevenly and often burns one spot and leaves another un toasted. I thought I was splurging on what was going to be the best toaster, and now am stuck with burned toast every morning. We have many other Oster products and have always been happy with them, but this toaster is the worst!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Loubratt from Adding to the list of reasons to NOT buy it. All of the comments I have read on here are true. My experience: toasts unevenly, burns spots, 4 pieces of regular bread do not fit in there without overlap, the slide on end opposite of handle sticks so you can never get that side to pop up, bread slides down on sides of platform bars and gets stuck, does not keep crumbs inside unit, one setting toasts to a certain level one time and next time it doesnt even get it toasted. So expensive for such a very poor product. Can't even count how many burns I have gotten from trying to dig the toast out of this toaster.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mazylyn from terrible~ i bought this toaster a few months ago to replace a cheap one that lasted me 5 years. Going with this Oster 4 slice was a terrible idea. The bread fllas into the slots and we have to shake it out because it is too wide on the bottom and the holder is to narrow. no matter the settings, the toaster wither does nothing for burns everything. we have only had this toaster a few motnhs and the push down mechanism is already broken, so its going in the garbage. HUGE waste of money for a great name brand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by chels608 from Doesn't toast evenly This toaster toasts one side of the bread faster than the other, so you have to turn the toast in order to toast evenly. And then it burns the edges!! Furthermore, the finish on it was bumpy and not "brushed" evenly, so it is not very attractive. Very disappointed in the looks and performance for a $40 toaster!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Dave from Next to worthless What a marvel of engineering incompetence. This toasts incredibly unevenly, toasting either just one end or just one side of the bread. The bagel setting, however, even as low as "3" will set off your smoke detectors. Pretty, but I'd prefer functional.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Unhappy22 from Very poor quality toaster Purchased this toaster because of the 4-slice slot, have had it for two weeks and very unhappy. The toast is never toasted evenly, one setting it is too light in color and the next setting it is too dark. Poptarts and thin sliced bagels fall down into the toaster and have to unplug and use a fork to get it out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Ernie from Horrible Product All of the above comments are true and now the unit handle sticks and we have to forcibly bring it up. Even after cleaning the unit as recommended.. Save some frustration and purchase another toaster.
