I have a family of four with 3 athletes and so we love to use this blender at least 2-3 times/day. At first I thought it was that I was filling it too much but now it's just leaking a third of my drink out!!!! I'm going to give it one more chance as I have 4 sport bottles for each one of us and will update as soon as I have the new blade. Also..... The laser mark it had to position blade in correct position just got erased too soon and I found myself guessing where it would work....

Rated 4 out of 5 by luvscows from Stop the rubber nubs from wearing out! We love our Oster MyBlend! It gets used several times a day to make protein shakes and fruit smoothies. But there seems to be a design flaw... no on/off switch. It turns on automatically when the blender container with attached blade assembly is set in place on the base. Unfortunately, it turns on before there is perfect contact between the blade assembly cog and the base cog. The base cog begins turning at a very fast speed, and the rubber nubs of the blade assembly cog take the force of it and begin to wear down. Ours became so worn that it was necessary to purchase this replacement. The replacement is perfect, but does not solve the problem. My husband came up with a solution. We now attach the blender bottle to the base with the unit unplugged, making sure it is securely attached, then we plug it in. No more wear on the rubber nubs because of incomplete contact!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Ibzbrat from Dont waist the money! I bought this product 2 months ago for making healthy breakfast smoothies. Because of a design flaw I got to use it for a month and a half, the motor starts spinning on contact even if it isn't a good contact. Thus wearing out the plastic parts, on the blade part. To get a new blade part costs a minimum of $5 online, for a part that will continually wear out and need to be replaced again and again and again. If iI chose to replace this part I will spend no less than $30 by the end of 2015. If you want a personal blender skip this item!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Marc from Must have for multiple bottles If you're like our family and have multiple bottles for different blends, then make life easier by having a blade assembly for each bottle - one or more can be soaking or in the dishwasher while you just grab an available set!

Rated 1 out of 5 by julia1 from Flawed design. I bought this blender in September for the trip. Today, October 24, I anticipated my morning smoothie and oops. . :=( Motor is whirling but blade is not rotating. I am not wasting my money buying parts all the time, so, for upcoming trip, I will have to buy something else. And the lack of the on/off switch is not an innovation ; it is rather uncomfortable. I have to add that motor is powerful for personal blender. However, it is has to be useful for the purpose, isn't it ?

Rated 1 out of 5 by Drea from cracked and liquid goes EVERYWHERE I bought this to make blended coffee and protein shakes. It lasted maybe 20 uses before the blade assembly part cracked and my liquids sprayed out and made a huge mess. Cheap plastic, you get what you pay for. My sister's Magic Bullet has lasted her YEARS.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AuntT from this one hasn't leaked I bought this replacement blade combo for my Myblender because the original one leaked like a sieve. I think I was originally making my smoothies wrong, putting the liquids in first instead of last. So I corrected my technique and bought a new blade combo and no more leaks! I would have given 5 stars, but this blade set seems to have more play (our maybe less) when being spun by the motor and I'm a little worried it may cause early motor burnout. Also, this new blade combo didn't seem to be able to be seated and locked so it is constantly on like the original, but that is no big deal to me, since I feel pulse is better at crushing the frozen fruits and ice in my smoothies. Also, I thought shipping was a little high, more than the cost of the part!

Rated 1 out of 5 by GingerKaas from Don't bother!! I bought 2 of these "just in case". The one that came with my blender was starting to leak a little, so I bought new blade assemblies to replace mine. I tried the first one and it leaked worse than the one I had. I tried the other one thinking that maybe the first one had a defect. Nope! It leaked like the other new one that I tried. So, my advise, Don't even bother with these! They are not worth the money or time to mess with them.
