Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Quality Beaters Have had this mixer just about a year and it worked very well. However I must say that I did not use it often. When using it last week, the beater jammed and would not turn. I ejected them and put them back in and they jammed again. Not sure if the problem is with the beaters or the mixer itself. Not interested in paying 9.95 for beaters plus shipping to find out the mixer may not work. Have used Oster products before, but this will be my last. Better off to buy another brand rather than buying something that may not fix my problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Oster Hand Mixer FPSTHMBGB I concur with the previous reviews. This is the poorest appliance that I have purchased in years. After using maybe six times, the beaters hit and jam up when running. I tried the number listed by Oster for help and count not get thru the automated answering system. She could not understand "hand mixer" or "beater". Also, wonder why I should pay $9.99 X 2 for a mixer that may not work. Taking Oster off my product list for options unless this is resolved.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stay away! I received this mixer at Christmas last year and it stopped working after 6 months. I only used maybe 1-2 week or less. I liked the look of it and thought it worked well when it did work. I liked the size of the beaters as well. It was not durable. I previously used a Black and Decker hand mixer that lasted me over 15 years. I would not buy this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beaters I also bought this mixer and I love it except for the beaters that seem to be hitting on each other with mixing. I haven't done anything drastic with this mixer except cake mixes. Cant seem to figure out why they are hitting. $9.99 for one beater replacement seems a bit much to me. I love the product and storage but not the replacement price. Ridiculous might as well buy a new mixer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I bought my mixer FPSTHMBGB 3 months ago and I have only used it 3 times and the last time I noticed as if the beaters were colliding with each other, I turned off the mixer and noticed that one of the arms of the central axis had taken off and checking that I noticed that other people have already passed, I bought this product thinking about quality and in less than 6 months it stops working and if you try to Repairing it says that you should pay 9.99 for each Beaters and no guarantee that you will get the same at the same time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beaters are out of wack. I bought the FPSTHMBGB-S mixer set for my daughter last Christmas. With 6 children she makes birthday cakes once in a while. She likes the set but the beaters jammed. I thought I would buy her a new set but $25 is way too much. I hate to throw it away but like the other reviews here I'm disappointed that Oster is not the quality it once was.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Plastic worm gears Received as a gift for Christmas and lasted 18months. Used once a month on average. Worm gears are plastic and strip easily. Buy a product that doesn't have such blatant built-in obsolescence. Can't find a listing for replacement gears either. Too bad the Oster name is associated with such a poor quality product.
