Oster Limited Warranty Statement

Sunbeam Products, Inc. (or if in Canada, Newell Brands Canada ULC) for its Oster brand of products (“Oster”) warrants to the original end-user purchaser that its Oster product purchased in the United States of America or Canada (“Product”) will be free from manufacturing defects for the warranty durations in the chart below from the date of purchase or delivery (whichever occurs later) when put to normal use and cared for according to Oster’s instructions.

Because Oster cannot control the quality of Products sold by unauthorized sellers, this warranty applies only to Products that were purchased from Oster or an Oster-authorized seller in the United States, unless otherwise prohibited by law. Oster reserves the right to reject warranty claims for Products purchased from unauthorized sellers, including unauthorized Internet sites. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear; cosmetic damage which does not impair the functionality of the product; damage from misuse or abuse (such as improper cleaning, neglect, negligence, or accident); damage from use on improper voltage or current; damage resulting from alteration(s), disassembly, or repairs by anyone other than Oster or an Oster-authorized service center; damage from Acts of God, including, but not limited to, fire, tornadoes, hurricanes, or floods; damage or defects resulting from the use of the Product in a commercial manner or contrary to the operating instructions; and theft. Please do not attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on your Product. Oster reserves the right to decline coverage if the defect or damage in question was caused by unauthorized components or service. No terms of this warranty may be construed to apply to non-warranty service or maintenance, and Oster expressly excludes from this warranty and denies liability for defects or damage caused by repair or alteration by anyone other than Oster or an authorized Oster service center.

Warranty Claim Process:

Purchasers of Products who wish to make a warranty claim based upon an alleged Product defect should initiate a Warranty Claim via the warranty claim form on oster.com or contact us Mon-Fri, 9AM - 5PM ET at 1-800-334-0759 for Oster appliances; 1-800-438-0935 for Oster bread makers; or 1-800-339-2547 for Oster clippers. You will be required to furnish proof of purchase and delivery demonstrating when and where you purchased your Product and when your Product was received. You will also be asked to provide/upload photographs of your Product.

Remedies Under This Warranty:

Oster will replace a defective Product that is covered by this warranty. If the item that is the subject of the warranty claim is discontinued and thus no longer available, Oster will replace your item with the most comparable item currently manufactured. No terms of this warranty may be construed to apply to non-warranty service and maintenance. Accordingly, Oster also denies liability for defects and damage caused by repair or alteration outside the terms of this warranty.

There are no warranties which extend beyond those stated herein. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES THAT MAY BE APPLICABLE TO PRODUCTS, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY. Some States or provinces do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL OSTER BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES BASED UPON BREACH OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, BREACH OF CONTRACT, OR STRICT LIABILITY. Some States or provinces do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from State to State or jurisdiction to jurisdiction.
