Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broken twice now. Poor product, poor service. I got this for Christmas last year. I made it a few months before the plastic drive on the food processor. I called Oster, and paid for a replacement part on September 18. It is early December and it has already broken again. Why can't the food processor drive be made out of metal? It looks like this is an ongoing problem from reading the other reviews. I've been trying to call them all day and keep getting a message that "we're experiencing a high volume of calls and are not able to help you at this time- please try again later." This is just poor customer service for a poorly made product. I hope to replace the entire unit with a more reliable brand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Oster 1200 Food Processor Gear Adapter We brought this product several months ago and recently used the food processor attachment to make humus. Unfortunately, it appears, as many other reviews report, that the gears stripped in the black box attachment that locks onto the base of the food processor. You can't buy the part separately, you have to order the entire food processor attachment, which I did off the Oster website. The key problem is, Oster is simply replacing this with the same plastic gearing, it will break again. I spent 40 minutes waiting and talking with their customer service which wasn't helpful. Bottom line, if you want a food processor, this isn't the one. Look for something more durable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lack Of Replacement Parts We have used the blender and food processor and like their performance a lot. Unfortunately the food processor lid - locking tabs broke. I wish they had been stronger. I need a replacement lid, and I'm willing to buy the entire food processor attachment if necessary. Unfortunately those parts are unavailable. I am very disappointed at the lack of parts support for an item that was purchased only a few months ago. I contacted support via phone, but they could not provide any information about future availability. I will not purchase another Oster or Jardin product due to this lack of support.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from motor attachment stem made of plastic This food processor attachment came as part of the combined blender, food processor and smoothie maker I purchased. This is the second time I am having this attachment part replaced. The stem is made of plastic and tends to wear (strip) very easily and quickly. When it strips, it shreds the plastic particles into your food and therefore having to toss out the entire processed food. This should not be made of plastic. Also, when using it, you have to attach this other small plastic piece and it is a small added attachment which can be easily lost in the kitchen.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from FOOD PROCESSOR "ALL PLASTIC" DRIVE, BREAKS EASILY I bought this several months ago and used 2 times to make hummus. On third use the black adaptor (reduces speed from motor to knife) broke. The blender itself uses "all metal" drive and the adaptor have "all plastic" parts that easily break. Knife is also flimsy and looks that may break any second. I called Oster, opened case but they did not have the adaptor in stock. Called couple times than gave up. 3 months later still no part in stock. The food processor - awful addition to otherwise good working blender.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Locking lid stinks My lid also broke after a few uses. Very disappointed with that and the fact that they refuse to sell these separately. The locks on the lid should be made of metal. I loved my old Oster so much that I bought this one over a Ninja because the processer now has a shredder/slicer that the old one didn't. The old processor lid got a lot of use before the lock broke and was glued. I got a couple of years of use from it after that. Not this new one. Love the blender, it's very powerful. I also use the smoothie cup every day, and love it, except it leaks on me sometimes and can't prevent that. I cover the rim with a sock so it doesn't drip on me. I would replace the entire processor for $20, but not with the added $8.50 shipping. Why isn't Oster backing their product and trying to make their customers happy here?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Food processor I love this blender, but am very disappointed with the food processor attachment. It broke two times. Thank Oster for sending me a replacement, but they really need to make the processing unit with a metal product rather than plastic. I use it to process frozen fruit, but it broke both times. I want to be able to make blended things out of this processor but am now afraid it will break. I imagine if I just don't let it run as long it might not break. But inevitably it shouldn't be made of plastic.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from works great---but blender is very powerful compared to my old osterizer i use the processor quite i bit since i got it earlier this year, now there is a problem. Locking lug on processor lid snapped off. Plastic housing and lid is very thin and BRITTLE. I hope they sell lids
