Peanut Butter Brownies
Peanut butter and jelly is the famous duo, but we'd argue that peanut butter and chocolate go just as good together. They team up in this recipe to create fudgy, indulgent brownies that are out-of-this-world delicious.
- 2 tablespoons plus 1 cup softened butter
- 1 1/4 cups white granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 4 large eggs
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 cups peanut butter
Grease a 9 x 9-inch baking pan with the 2 tablespoons of melted butter. Set aside. Add the sugar, flour, salt, cocoa powder and eggs to the Oster® Planetary Stand Mixer. Mix on medium-low speed until combined. Gradually mix in the vanilla extract and remaining 1 cup of softened butter. Mix until combined, and then add in the chocolate chips. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Using a spatula, swirl the peanut butter into the batter. Bake brownies at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the brownies comes out clean. Let brownies cool before serving or packaging.
Lemon Sugar Cookies
Bright and cheery lemon flavor elevates basic sugar cookies into an extra-special treat. A light lemon-and-vanilla frosting dresses up these treats for a party.
For the frosting:
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Yellow food coloring
- Lemon zest for garnish
For the cookies:
- 3/4 cup softened butter
- 2 1/2 cups white granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
Add the 3/4 cup softened butter and sugar to the Oster® Planetary Stand Mixer. Mix on medium speed until combined, then gradually mix in the eggs, lemon juice, flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Form dough into 1-inch balls and then arrange on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. While cookies are baking, prepare frosting. Clean the bowl of the Oster® Planetary Stand Mixer, and then add the powdered sugar, 1/2 cup softened butter, lemon juice and vanilla extract to it. Mix on medium speed until combined. Add 1-2 drops of yellow food coloring to the frosting. Once cookies have finished baking, remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack. Frost the cookies when cooled, and finish with a sprinkle of lemon zest. Serve or package for later.
Salted Caramel Bars
Gooey salted caramel, buttery bars and a touch of chocolate - every element comes together in perfect harmony in this tasty baked treat. You can make the caramel from scratch or can save time by using
- 2 tablespoons plus 1 1/2 cups softened butter
- 1 3/4 cups white granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 1/2 teaspoons plus 2 teaspoons flaky sea salt
- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 cups thick caramel sauce
Grease a 9 x 9-inch pan with the 2 tablespoons of softened butter. Set aside. Add the white and brown sugars and remaining butter to the Oster® Planetary Stand Mixer and mix on medium speed until combined. Gradually mix in the eggs, vanilla, baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon sea salt. Mix in the flour, followed by the chocolate chips. Once ingredients are fully combined, transfer dough to prepared plan. Add small spoonfuls of caramel to the top of the dough. Sprinkle with remaining sea salt. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Remove bars from baking dish and let cool. Once cooled, cut into squares and serve or package.
